Thank youuuu!! I will do my first internship in a month. The tip about asking other people, instead of trying to prove yourself, is what I needed to hear the most!! ❤❤❤❤

Hey man, thanks for sharing your knowledge! Some constructive feedback (just my opinion ofc): 1. It would be even better if this video was split in shorter, specific videos (eg junior, senior, contracting). 2. It would be awesome if you try to improve the sound quality a bit. Good luck!!

Thank you Thomas for this great video. I have one more question. Since you didn't really mention how long each stage takes. Could you give an estimated period of years for each stage? I know it depends on the person, but considering all these advices, when would I expect to be at a senior level for example?

Hello Thomas, do you think DSA and Leetcode is necessary to get a junior position job? Or I should focus on creating interesting projects? Thank you 🙏🏼

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. I think LeetCode and other places like this ar great to practice your choice of programming language, it's always great to be able to share these within an interview process. A Portfoleo piece is also great. Most interviews i have done in the past generally will do a tech test to see your coding and communication ability, so it's best to be able to talk about what you've done and why you've done it in that way etc.

Unfortunately some places still ask for it, really depends. My company did not even care but I am trying to get into Microsoft and from what I have heard they do ask at least 2 mediums for my roll.

thanks for the video, any recommended resource to learn solid principle and design system?
@AnotherDevelopersWorld
@AnotherDevelopersWorld Ай бұрын
@@hadeels.ayassin2675 I would recommend learning each principle separately and practicing them in your chosen language. If it would be useful I will release a mini series on SOLID haha

Hey man, great vid! :) im definitely using the tips in my career later aha I just had a question (sorry if its not good, feel free to ignore :) ) - do you think its possible to enter the industry with a cs degree, and personal projects but no industry experience? I just finished my first year in university, and am still deciding if i want to do placements or not for a year (i have some personal reasons) , but im still deciding :) I am making a game with pygame right now, and have a Java CLI loan management system that was technically coursework , and a song lyric lookup tool i made that can be used in the terminal - but im also working on a website to host these things and kinda..journal on haha + more projects in the future as i improve :) So do you think i still have hope? Sorry for the long comment 😅 But yeah amazing vid, you earned a new sub :)

Hi Alex! Thanks for watching and subscribing :) I believe that you're in a great position to look for Junior/Junior-Mid roles within Software. It sounds like you have a portfolio with a variety of language uses, which is also great! I have also had times in my career where personal things have maybe changed or halted my plans in progression. What worked well for me is to find the right balance between what you are expecting to achieve in your professional career and what you may need to do yourself to grow as a person. For example i went travelling for 4 months in the middle of my early career and that was one of the best things i could do for myself at the time. I hope this helps a little with figuring things out. Keep pushing forward and you'll get to where you want to

I am currently learning Full Stack Web development. How realistic is it to learn full-stack web dev and get a remote job in 6 months? I am from Nepal and the reason why I am looking for a remote job is: that we get paid pretty low here, and a remote job pays pretty well for a software development role.
@AnotherDevelopersWorld
@AnotherDevelopersWorld Ай бұрын
@@peshal_123 Hi! Remote work is always a great option. There are a few things that you need to consider ofcorse: Timezones - what timezones are realistic for you to work in. Internet Stability/Speed - are you able to join Teams meetings with large amounts of people, can you be consistently online when required etc. Eligibility of working in other countries - each country has different laws and rules with overseas employment. Consider if working as a contractor or a Freelander may be easier for both you and the Cient/Employee As someone who has spent there whole career in web development, I would recommend learning JavaScript and Typescript for frontend and backend very well. It may be worth watching my recent video to get a solid foundation on what you may need to know :)

@@AnotherDevelopersWorld How to find remote work or freelance project? what can be the roadmap? Since it is too much saturated its very hard to find projects or contracts online from upwork or fivver??
@AnotherDevelopersWorld
@AnotherDevelopersWorld Ай бұрын
@@peshal_123 I would reccomend making yourself a good Linkedin profile, get yourself some certificates such as AWS Cloud practitioner, or Azure etc, Then start networking with agencies and other developers. Stay active and keep pushing forward. I believe with the right amount of eprisstance you will do well. Best of luck!!

Nobody will pay you a western level wage for remote work from Nepal. When they see where you are from they will adjust the pay accordingly.
