Certifications could be helpful to get into ESG space, however, would advice you to research properly before deciding to jump in to these courses, as these courses have high investment and getting job on basis of this is not assured, alternatively grow career wise in your field and do some ghg accounting audit certifications

Certifications would help. However, it also depends a lot on your career ambitions. If you want to pursue a career in sustainable technological development then your background in engineering would be great importance, but if you're thinking of switching towards reporting then it would need certifications and a completely new career direction

Yes, people from Environmental fields have an edge. However, if you're deciding to pursue career in ESG, I would suggest you familiarise also with different standards and ungc principles, GRI and SASB .

Hi Shreya, in terms of educational qualifications to enter into ESG a degree in environmental education, Social studies, Policy making or even finance can help you get into ESG related roles in some consulting companies. There are some MBA colleges like XIMB, which also offers courses like MBA on sustainability. I would suggest you to do a basic research, however I can also create a separate video on ESG educational requirements. Please subcribe to my channel for videos on ESG.
