This Wednesday, we went FB Live with Dr. Shyamveer Singh, discussing the Career & Opportunities for a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Dr. Shyamveer Singh is working in field of Pediatric cardiac surgery for past 8 years. He was trained from prestigious Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital and was also associated with Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Afterwards he joined Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon as Associate consultant in the Department of Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery where he worked with highly skilled and experienced team dealing with full spectrum of congenital cardiac cases ranging from Simple ASD to highly complex Norwood procedure. Currently he is Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon at Fortis Memorial research institute, Gurgaon. He joined us on the platform to discuss about his journey and insights of his branch that he has learnt in his 8 yrs of practice. Good evening ms. Khan I agree that medical profession is facing a lot of challenges but I am an optimistic person. Want to give you bright side of medical profession. I have seen many unemployed engineers, teachers etc but not a single unemplyoed doctor. Lacs of candidates apply for 5 government post but 5 doctors apply for 50 government posts.

Not everyone can become a doctor. If you come for money you might be disappointed. We opt to become doctors to serve for humanity so being a doctor is not a job its a calling.
