I left job for business but it didn't work out well..now looking for job..so how can I explain
@CareerRideOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Hi Raj, The most important thing to understand in this case is - "A business that has not worked out well doesn't mean that you are a failure. It is just that business which has not worked out the way you wanted it to." It is important to understand this because many candidates start getting low on confidence in this case. Now, coming to how to explain this - i.) Think about all the skills you gained during this time. ii.) How did you improve as a person? iii.) What was your learning from this venture that can add value to the employer? iv.) What additional skills do you possess for the role you are applying to that can add value to the employer? Employers focus on your skills while hiring. If you can convince them that you possess the required skills, it should not be a problem. Think of answers to all these questions and you should be good to go. All the best :)

Mam the HR asked me what is your SLR PLEASE HELP ME HOW TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION for HR profile
@CareerRideOfficial2 жыл бұрын
SLR stand for Sick Leave Reserve. Sick leave is the the time away from work provided by a company to its employees. The employees can use this reserve in event of an illness, injury, pregnancy etc. All of us are human beings and can fall sick at times. This is company's preparation to deal with such events. Through the question asked to you, the interviewer can establish following things: 1. Your fitness level - Too less an SLR might indicate that you fall sick too often or have a problem at home. If your SLR is too low, you may have to explain honestly. 2. Your exhaustion level - If your SLR is too high, it means you may not be taking a leave even when you are not well, which means that in such a scenario you may not be delivering what's expected from you on that day. 3. The question may further lead to, "How did you manage your time for this interview?" and they would be cautious if you say you called in sick. I would see this question as a way to understand your fitness level and attitude.

How to explain gaps in employment. I have around 12.5 years of experience and now I am unemployeed for around 18 months. I left the previous jobs for personal reasons. Please suggest
@CareerRideOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Hi Parag, The reasons for gap in employment could be numerous - may be you were caring for an ailing family member, or may be you tried your hands at entrepreneurship.... As a reporting manager, I would not really mind a justified gap in employment if the person has the required skills and can deliver what the role demands. So, if you know that your CV is going to someone who is going to hire your directly, explain your position in the accompanying email and ask for an opportunity to see them in person. If your CV meet their needs, I'm sure they would call you for the interview. Another thing you can try is draft your CV more around your skills and how they are relevant to the role rather than your experience. Let me know if this helps. :)

maam how to answer the question if there was demotion from warehousesupervisor to logistics coordinator? maam i hope you read and answer my question please...
@CareerRideOfficial4 жыл бұрын
The most important thing is to sit and think for the actual reason and then put it in the right words. Please see this video on handling gaps in Resume: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5CckIeFqN-ce5I While it is not directly related, it'll give you an idea about how to think and frame your answer.
@extraordinaryfate57674 жыл бұрын
ma'am thanks... I'll watching this...due to lack of confidence,self esteem, depression and other co workers who pulled me down are reasons why being demoted... sadly it hurts wherein without having any relative in that company that's why im weak...for those who have relative who also work in the same company in higher position are capable and confident that they can surpassed certain issues...😢

@sudiptodas38966 жыл бұрын
Anil Jaiswar yes I have the same question too.. But the mentor doesn't seem to be interested in this question
@CareerRideOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Hi Anil and Sudipto, The message somehow slipped down and did not catch our attention. Well, if your notice period is not negotiable, there's nothing much you can do about it. But, there are ample number of cases where the current employers agree to negotiate the notice period. However, this is something that happens mostly because of the good reputation you share with them. If you know that you share a good equation with your current boss, tell the interviewer that you'll try to talk to them and get back. In the interview you prove yourself to be a candidate worth waiting for, if they have to. Hope this helps! :)
