The second one...No Potato is Ginger which means No Ginger is Potato... Onion comes under Potato...All onions are Potatoes...so if potato can't be ginger how can onion be ginger....so the second conclusion is correct!

OK! Got to say this for sure. Today was my Infosys test and I knew syllogism would be there. I could say for sure you could attend EVERY SINGLE SYLLOGISM questions after watching this video. A bit confusion was for the questions which had sentences not starting with those words ALL, NOT, SOME AND SOME NOT. In that case I was unable to solve the questions instead I was assuming the words before the sentence. Anyways, thanks a ton ❤️

I found a problem on a web site: 1) All tigers are Lions 2) Some Lions are Leopards with conclusions: 3) Some Tigers are Leopards and 4) No Tigers are Leopards. If we allocate the income/expenses scheme, 1) 100 Ti; 50 Li 2) 50 Li; 50 Le 3) 50 Ti; 50 Le 4) 100 Ti; 100 Le. To evaluate (3) we consider (1) and (2) together and try to eliminate Li, which both have 50, so, based on the algorithm you propose, this should result in (3) being false. However, if you think logically, (3) is true, and also the answer on that web page stated (3) was true. Your formula has some serious problems. It could work in some particular cases, but it doesn't seem to be generally valid. You should revise your algorithm, or place a disclaimer stating that it is not generally valid, so people wouldn't base their knowledge or interview results on something like that.

3 is false, even using venn diagrams. The website was the incorrect one. Some Tigers may be Leopards, but we can't guarantee that some Tigers are Leopards from the given statements. Doing by Venn Diagram, draw a circle for lions. Inside it, draw a circle for tigers. So all tigers are lions. 1) is satisfied. Now, draw a circle for leopards that intersects lions, but not tigers. So some lions are Leopards and 2) is satisfied. By this diagram, conclusion 3) of some tigers are Leopards is false. It's a *possibility* if you draw the venn diagrams a different way, but the conclusion doesn't say possibility.

Thank you sharing the IE method trick. No doubt trick is useful, but using this trick sometimes answers are coming wrong too. Many other students have shared such questions in chat box. Not sure how to deal with this situation.

this income expense statement can be followed only when there is a pen and paper exam. If the questions are on the screen and we have to solve it on our sheets then this method really creates confusion as we loose track of the elements and the numbers (50 or 100) assigned to them.
