You have mentioned the IITs and some universities. Where IISC Bangalore stands??? NIAS-IISC, IIFT, IGIDR, TIFR etc are one of the best. If u don't have any expertise in Phd guidance please don't share incomplete information. Incomplete formation is always lead to disaster.

IACS, Bose Institute, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, SN Bose National Center for basic Sciences, ICTS, IOP, PRL, ARIES, IUCAA all Top Research Institutes and all Central Universities have PhD programs. And, those Research Institutes are far better than IITs

Lol, Every Central Universities and Research Institutes like IACS Kolkata, TIFR, PRL, IIA, IUCAA, SN Bose Research Institute, ARIES, ICTS, Indian Statical Institutes, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Bose Institute, IISC Bangalore, NPL, IISERs, CSIR etc have PhD programs. These all are better than Jadavpur University and IITs. Also, IITs have PhD programs but only 5-6 old IITs are good for PhD.
