Preparing for a phone interview may seem simple but if you don't plan appropriately, you could end up doing worse than if you were face to face. Tell me, what steps did you take to prepare for a phone interview? Did they work?

MyJourni - I can see why you are feeling a bit on edge. The best way to decipher what's happening behind the scenes is to talk with the recruiter. It is acceptable to follow up once more. Recruiters tend to be very busy and one email (or contact) may not be enough. I can tell you that it "sounds" like -- because both jobs are internal to your current company AND the other manager is looking for someone internal to their department -- that your application is only being considered for one job versus two. But the only way to get to the bottom of this is to actually have a conversation. If you do not hear back from the recruiter, talk to the manager hiring for the position. I hope this helps! Hey...keep me posted! I'd love to hear how all of it works out. xoxo

Nervous tick could be going on a tangent or rambling. Try to stay focused on the question asked by repeating in your answer. Ex) Question: what was your duties in XYZ co? Answer: My duties at XYZ consisted of _____, ______, ______ (2-3 main examples) and end it there.

I’ve had several phone interviews in the last week and I have two video conference interviews and one working interview coming up in the next week. I also signed up for a temp agency. How do I decide which is the best offer if given multiple offers

Kendra, that is VERY exciting news! Congrats to you. Here is what I would recommend. First, I want you to think about your goals (that is, what is most important to you in a career?). Make a list of your top 3-5 items and do not hold back. Is it work life balance, is it pay, is it the job title, is it the actual work you will be doing? Once you receive your job offers, ask yourself...which job can get me the closest to experiencing what's most important to me? That is the best way to decide the job you should take. Good luck to you and please keep me posted! xoxo

Kendra -- I'm doing my HAPPY DANCE over here. I love hearing about job offers. I sure hope that you negotiated your salary (or at least did your market research before accepting). 😏
