It certainly was pretty peaceful during our visit but I bet when it's full in season it's a different story. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.

They certainly have enough to keep a person occupied during a stay.

Hi Joe. I normally try to pick times when people are not out and about to video in an effort to not make anyone uncomfortable but there wasn't a lot going on during our stay. Thanks for stopping in!!

Dave you can count well, blue ribbon worthy for sure! Nice video, great tour, didn't see one other person in any of the buildings, just bike riding! Enjoy seeing the facilities here in Yuma. We stay out in the Foothills not in a park, we rent a private lot, but there sure are a lot of RV Resorts here and they certainly fill up during the winter. Safe travels!

I'm just glad I didn't have to count any higher lol! At one time we looked at a new are in the foothills and considered buying a lot. It was new maybe 4 or 5 years ago, but we didn't. Carefree has Pickleball on site so that makes it handy for us. Thanks for stopping in!

Good Sunday morning Dave & Diane! The only thing I got to see in Yuma [during my trucking days] was the vegetable and fruit fields where I sat for hours on end waiting for the workers to bring ‘my load’ to where we were waiting for so long. I can hardly wait to see the all places I missed out on before once I go full time! That is one HUGE rv park! Whoa! Thanks for sharing! Safe travels! ~Jim~
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
It certainly is a pretty big park. We have mostly stopped in on the shoulder months so it's been pretty quiet, the way we like it LOL!! I imagine you just "drove by" lots of stuff during the working years.
@TOTALLYRELAXED2 жыл бұрын
@@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707>Yeah, ‘driving by’ was pretty much my only option most of the time due to always being on a tight schedule…but, it seemed no matter what time I had to arrive to load or unload I always sat for hours before I got to do either one. 🤬 Hence, MY question, “what was the tight schedule for to start with?” (actually it was dispatchers lying to drivers just to make themselves look good to the customer). I’m sure glad I haven’t and don’t deal with all that crap anymore! Lol! Have a great week coming and safe travels!

Great video Dave, you showed me everything I know you to know. I think I'm going to stay there this year for at least one month problem is I can't get no 1 to answer the phone. Are they even in business this year?
@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 Жыл бұрын
I think you should enjoy it there. I'm sure they are still in business but maybe because it's summer they are on short hours but thats no excuse.

Good video 😀 why do have an extra vehicle when you have a truck to tow your rig 🤔
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
The small car makes it very nice while touring in small towns or touristy spots. Plus Diane does not like driving the truck so it provides freedom for her to get away on her own.

Thanks for the tour and all the info!! Just curious as your method of madness for your stays. I know you guys were in Quartzsite for a while so wondering why you didn't go straight to your mainstay Winter resort (after Quartzsite) that you really like? Maybe just break up the monotony a bit so to speak? Thanks again!
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
On this go around we had a week to kill after Quartzsite and Yuma was sort of,,, SORT OF in the middle and we had friends in the area so it just fit in. We probably could have got into our winter spot a week early but we were in no hurry.

I don’t see any picnic tables or fire pits. Must not allow them? Looking for a place to snow bird.
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
They do not provide picnic tables and don't allow wood fires. Not a big deal to us, we carry our own chairs and we Carry a Fire in a Can fire pit that is great for parks like this.

Hi did you get the wifi in your trailer from your site in carefree.
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
Hi Kathy. We carry a Verizon Hot Spot MiFi with us for our internet. It's just far more reliable than trying to use campground wifi we have found. .

Do you and Diane see yourself buying into a 55+ community once you get off the road?
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
It has certainly been talked about. We really like the resort we are in now "not Carefree" but Sun Resorts owns the land and we would own the house with no control of constant raising lease costs. If we were rich I guess we wouldn't care but we are not so we have to think about that. I think the answer would be yes IF we found something that we could own both the land and home.

Lots of amenities. But looks very drab.
@daveanddianethrowingcautio57072 жыл бұрын
Yes, drab is a very good description. That holds true at many of the Arizona spots, lots of brown.
