You should consider adding some hazard strips to the loader. You might have some strips left over from your Stargrave scenario buildings.

A suggestion: you could try putting some heavy metal screws inside the bottom of the arms to use as counter weights, securing them with hot glue to prevent them moving inside the arms.

Loved how it turned out; to age it more one could add multiple colors of scrapped off, or chipped paint from the cargo containers to the holding platform.

Love the imagination in this. Looks like something you might see in one of those animated robot movies. I wonder if there is a way to improve the appearance of the chipboard corners and joints though.

Why chains? So you can move the lift plate to vertical and use it as a pusher plate. :-)

Failsafe chains. Similar to elevator blocks that mechanically catch the car if the main brakes fail...
