Cargo plane makes emergency landing after front landing gear fails

Dramatic video captured the moment a cargo plane made an emergency landing at Istanbul Airport after its front landing gear failed.
No one was injured and the crew safely evacuated the aircraft, Turkey's transportation and infrastructure minister said.

They were ready and waiting. They had to wait till the A/C made a full stop. There are other videos online where you see the trucks arriving quickly. No harm to pilots or packages. Super smooth work from 2 awesome pilots.

Depends on how much and where the fuselage deflected. In the wrong area, 1 inch will make the aircraft uneconomical to fly. In the right area, it takes 5-8 inches of deflection before the plane is uneconomical to fly.

Curious. Do they have actual emergency workers, like Fire fighters there & ready for the emergency plane landings? or is there some sort of watering system in place which water gets shot out of several places & sprays down the airplane & area ? Like something like automatic sprinklers for your lawn & the ones in buildings which water sprays from ceilings to put out/prevent fire (from spreading) If they don't have such a water system in place, mayb they should? Interesting idea. As it didn't actually show any fire trucks or fire fighters, 🤷🏻‍♀️ thats why i came up with such a conclusion as a 'watering system' lol
