Maintenance on Chevvy, Jeep, Land Rover, Renault and Fiat are a bit of a nightmare in South Africa. VW, BMW, Merc and Audi are a bit expensive for no reason but easy to do. Hyundai and KIA are normal, Toyota and Suzuki are generally Cheap.

Brother it's a merc so the mileage is pretty low if the car was properly serviced and maintained. Regardless as you might have said it's a lot of car for the price. However the total cost of ownership will be high parts and service will be high and insurance will not be cheap. Overall it's a nice car just can't see what the car would be used for especially as an everyday car that engine will cost you upwards of R5000 per month to drive in traffic that's an extra grand. Makes you realise why it's on auction 😉
