In this video we went searching for a new car all around Cape Town South Africa. First we went to Barons VW Belville and found nothing. Afterwards we went to Voortrekker road in Cape Town of which BNA Auto, Autofocus and Elite Cars were of the selected dealers we visited. Thereafter we visited Toyota N1 City and VW N1 City and from there to Webuycars. Cars Are expensive in South Africa.

What the hell is up with South African car prices? I live in Korea and went to a VW dealership a few days ago. 2024 Golf mk8 2.0 TDI sells for 32,000,000 korean won, which is about R410,000. So please tell me how a 3 cylinder 1 litre Polo can sell for R537,000???

I had the Polo 1.2Tsi Highline DSG. Bought it brand new in 2014 for R267k. It had all the options too. So much better quality than this Vivo GT. Keep in mind that this body shape has been used by VW from 2010 at least. That Vivo is a scam. It's way too expensive for literally budget quality inside and out.

Usually when I go to car dealers I wear my branded Car Guy tshirts with my Logo and KZbin logo on it, so they know I’m doing KZbin videos, but just being in casual wear taking videos looks a bit suspect I guess.

I don't think your brother knows exactly what he wants. He wants a polo but some of them looks to basic? Also he's interested in audi?...Does he have deep pockets because they don't come cheap maintenance wise? Also since when do we buy cars based on how it looks?... I'd buy the most basic polo there is, if its been well taken care of, than the polo that looks nice with a sunroof. Here's a little tip for you... Every car you view, ask yourself first "Why is it standing here". That little hyundai getz is probably the most reliable car there is at we buy cars, and i'm talking from experience.

​@@carguy7797I can atest to that. My little Hyundai getz has just turned 13 years old this month. This car has been through hell. Its been on thousands of vacations with the family (fully loaded with trailor), its been on killarney a dozen times and its still my every day daily driver. Nobody believes when i say its still the original 1.4 unopened engine. Just normal maintenance has been done. Its just a bullerproof car. That being said, from the criteria of what your brother has, perhaps weigh the options of fully specced vs basic. R-line may look nice but does it actually do something for you in the long run? I'd prefer standard vs a trimmed up polo that looks exactly like any other polo on the road. Basic for me just means less things to go wrong in the long run & easy to maintain.
