For which temperature range is the J130 suitable?

Kriss Kross unfortunately carhartt doesn’t temperature rate their garments but when i search on the carhartt site under the ‘extreme’ weather conditions, this one comes up at the top of the page along w/ the j140 and their arctic lined coats. Carhartt says this is one of their warmest coats they offer. The reviews say it’s perfect for the single digit cold temps - one reviewer on their site said he was in -5 w/ it but he’s mostly worn it in single digits to 30’s. Other ppl where i live have this one and we see single digits to mid 30’s for our winter. I’m looking at getting this one too

What's the difference between the J130 and the J140?

@don juan is this quilted flannel lining the same as the one referred to as arctic quilt ?

Joe Gill they both have the quilted flannel and are basically the same coat. Both coats are wind resistant, but the j140 is the one that can repel rain. I’ve tried on both, you can move around easier in the j130 and it feels a lot softer. You can also move around in the j140 but it’s a lot stiffer and will need to be broken in.

Kriss Kross i don’t think so. These coats have the quilted flannel lining. The quilted arctic lining is found in their other coats like the c003 or the arctic extremes coat
