Try sleep training method of right before he falls asleep put him in the crib and make sure he has something to soothe him either a stuffy or music that plays lullaby. I did that with my son and he is an amazing sleeper now.

Hey Rochelle, you’ve got this, don’t let anyone interfere with your new bedtime regime. Maybe give him a bottle before he put him down to make him drowsy which is kind of what they do with babies to make him full, then put him down with some white noise or soft, bedtime music. and he will sleep like a baby LOL

I recently stopped breastfeeding a couple months ago. She was 19 months old. Whew! I was over it LOL! I put bandaids on and every time she saw the bandaid she remembered that she couldn’t nurse haha. Overall it went smoother than I expected but there were definitely lots of tears at night time. But we got through it as you and your little one will too. ❤️ Also It’s refreshing to see a mother so confident in her decisions. You go girl!

I personally think your doing an amazing job, not that you need my opinion. I just feel like all kids are different and you as a mom need to do what's best for you and your child. We as watchers have no reason to tell you what you are doing is wrong or right. We can give suggestions as mom..but it's up to you to choose what's best for you. I feel like postpartum is real and some of it comes from the pressure to be perfect. Let's be women that encourage and suggest. It's hard enough to take care of our babies. Love you Rochelle

Every parent trains their children the way they feel fit there's no right or wrong way of doing things. What I used to do though was go back in every 10/15 minutes so my baby knew I was still around but that it was their time to sleep! I would literally sit outside the bedroom time it then go back in. Said nothing just allowed them to know mummy is still around and also left the door open/ajar a little with their light off but light on the landing. It took me about 3/4 days for them to get used to the routine. After that once they were put in their crib/cot they knew it was bedtime! Crying stopped because they knew mummy was around. For the feeding, I let them feed themselves from around the age of 8 months! Yep there was mess on the floor but I put black bags around the area and yes they had messy faces and hands and clothes but it was nothing that couldn't be cleaned! Allowing baby to feed themselves allows them to get used to textures and teachers them how to hold things. They loved it and I loved watching them loving it too. But at the end of the day, no one can tell you how to teach your own children. We all parent differently but there's no harm in giving advice when asking for it!! He's a lovely little boy and blessed to have a mommy like you. I'd also ask/tell others NOT to get him whilst your trying to teach him bedtime means bedtime. Taking him out and taking him downstairs is going to mess everything up for you. He's going to cry knowing that if mummy doesn't come and get me someone else will! It's hard but your going to have to stand firm on this one because it's something he's going to have to learn. I understand hearing crying is hard but it's not going to be forever once he learns that's all going to stop and it's going to make life so much easier. Your doing a great job Rochelle don't you forget that ❤ it's hard being a parent in fact it's one of the hardest jobs out there to do. Love your content too 🙏🏼❤🥰🇬🇧

As someone adeptly said, it’s important to allow Bopbop the opportunity to develop his small motor skills, hand eye coordination otherwise it will be something you will have to undo later. Just prepare the space where he will eat, lay down something that can be wiped down or thrown away. You are trying to create independence but on the other hand create dependency. Speaking as an expert in Early childhood development. Best Wishes I look forward to your vlogs Bopbop is such a wonderful soul, lovely family.❤

I always let my children have a free for all because they need to use their small motor skills to eat. And when each of them got to a certain age they didn’t want me to feed them. That pinching that babies do when they pick up small pieces of food or cereal helps their coordination. I didn’t give my toddlers a knife . They are better off with a spoon to begin and soon after a fork but a knife is not necessary for a while. Remember that the more you feed Bop Bop the less independent he is and it seems that you might his independence to some extent. Let me=him explore his food and get messy. He’s learning.

Nigeria is different. Nigeria is also very different from Ghana. It’s a world on its own. This is coming from a non Nigeria who go there at least 5 times a year and have finally moved there. I have been going to Nigeria for over 10 years, I am African myself. I basically have a whole family in Nigeria but it look time, a lot of ups and downs. My humble advice is you go there for a year first. Settle before taking your two children. I saw how free you were in Ghana. Do not try that in Nigeria. This isn’t about putting fear in you but making you aware. NIGERIA IS NOT GHANA

It's going to be a little rough in the beginning but Bop Bop will be fine. Went through that trying to get my 1st born off the bottle and pacifier. So second child, no pacifier and no going to sleep with the bottle in the crib, that made it easier when it was the end of the road with bottles. Also, see if you can get a few sippy cups, they have the no leak kind.

You asked about what vitamins we are trying out lately… -Berberine (suppresses your appetite, amongst other things). 2 capsules daily -Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) 3 capsules daily “Berberine and alpha lipoic acid (ALA) are sometimes combined in supplements to support various health areas, including cardiovascular health, blood sugar metabolism, and liver health. Berberine is an alkaloid compound found in plants like goldenseal, Oregon grape, and barberry, and is commonly used in Chinese and botanical medicine. ALA is known for its antioxidant properties and its ability to support insulin metabolism and sensitivity. It's also a cofactor for enzymes in mitochondria that convert fats, carbohydrates, and proteins into energy.”

If family is in town then I’ll bring them to parade, but is it just me, or did the parade this year look kinda scarce? Seen a lot of people on this blog…man like shooksdynamo! So sad to hear what Tye is going through. I got to pay him and his mom a visit. Praying for you Tye 🙏🏾. ❤

But every now and then I let him use the utensils on his on and explore the different textures with his food.
