Please do not listen to the media. The tour was successful. The majority loved them. I was at the event in The Bahamas and we were so excited for The Duke and Duchess. They did an amazing job. We can’t wait to see them again 🇧🇸✨

They we're fantastic how they have handled the rebuff from certain sides of the conflict that some people have chosen to show, instead of doing it behind closed doors. All they have done have made themselves foolish. William and Catherine were only following a script, but from now on they will follow their own script. So pleased they have arrived home safe and sound. They are loved and admired more by people than disliked .Ballisimo.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

A very successful Caribbean Tour! So many happy smiling faces! Despite the best efforts of naysayers trying to mark valueless protests that went nowhere (I counted a whole 13 in Belize - wow), this Tour looked wonderful! It shows what a wonderful future King and Queen we all have! Brings out the best in the rest of us!

There was a protest against that protest in belize but no one bothered to report about that. That would have ruined the “disaster” tour. There were literally no more than 100 people protesting in all three countries but the media made a fuss about it. They cropped images, they didn’t say that it was the Jamaican government who asked the Land Rover thing. They are really trying to ruin William and kates reputation because they are loved and the future of monarchy. People should be aware of this. If they can’t find a bad move by the Cambridges they are determined to create one, as we saw they did.

The Jamaican PM should have been more welcoming and diplomatic. Whither or not there is a referendum to end having the Queen as their Head of State, it is up to the voters in these Independent countries to decide. As William made clear in his speech, the decision of the people will be respected and honoured. At the time they became independent, many countries kept their links to Britain and made the decision to keep the Queen as their Head of State. This is more of a figurehead than a political position. There have been rumblings for change in many of these countries but, out of respect for the Queen, they’ve held back. When the Queen passes there will be changes. This is no surprise to anyone no matter how the naysayers try to spin it.

@@alanaw27 he was awful and I can’t help but think he set them up. Belize and the Bahamas went flawlessly. The whole problem was the Jamaican leg. The “fence” photos, the land rover thing. Yesterday, a rr said that even William was aware that the optics of that aren’t great but they asked and they fulfilled that. The Jamaican pm deliberately did this. I hope people are aware of this mess. And yes they can become republic. I am more then sure that William or the queen can’t care less wether they become republic or not. But he can’t do that right now without referendum because its constitution doesn’t allow this. There must be a referendum, that idiot of pm is obviously afraid of peoples opinion and referendum, hence that’s why he is trying to portray William and royals bad so he can make changes in the constitution without people roaring about that.

@@alanaw27 Oh I definitely got a bad sense from the Jamaican PM. He gave me the same sense as the Australian PM back in the 80s before Charles and Diana headed over. That really shut him up. I have a feeling here we his wanting to get them out just so he and his mates can have more power themselves or just to distract from their own problems, and are not thinking about the people by simple skipping a vote. Have a definitely feeling that they would not win if it came to a vote.

I must share that it truly distresses me how harmful and hurtful the AWFUL Sussex squad has been toward the Queen, Charles, William, Kate and the RF, as well as many other folks that are devoted to the RF. Many of us in the US hate witnessing how they are being embraced by unsophisticated folks. The Harkles are now going after them for speaking the truth! I will celebrate when the Sussex squad gets their due - it’s coming! I just wish it was sooner rather than later!

They really does highlight just all the wonderful events that happened during this trip around the islands that were so unfortunately overshadowed by some of the negative press. It still feels like this really was a totally worth while trip and so so proud of the work both William and Kate did. Also a shout out the Kate's dresses. She was totally AS USUAL completely on point with all of them. Can they ever do wrong. Bravo to them both.

The people seemed friendly but the Jamaican PM behaved badly. These discussions should be between governments. Changing the Head of State has been on the cards for many countries for years. Many have held back out of respect for the Queen. No one will be surprised if there are referendums but William made it clear that what the people decide will be honoured and respected. There was no reason, other than political gamesmanship ,for the PM of Jamaica behaving like this.

Ken Burns did a documentary on the history of country music in America. The songs originated from the "old country", which was England. When George VI came to America to meet with FDR, his wife wanted to showcase American food, music, etc . . . so a family who sang/played together as a group and performed old "hillbilly" tunes was to perform for the King and Queen at the White House. The only surviving member of that family recalled how nervous she was to perform in-front of the King. She didn't think she could do it until she noticed that King George was tapping his toes. All was well for her after that! That said, William shaking his foot reminded me of that story about the little country music girl and his great grandfather, King George VI tapping his toes!
