Colosseum is awesome imagine still standing strong after over a thousand years.A very tragic place where so many people lost their lives in the most barbaric way.Rome has kept all its monuments intact.You have to also visit Vatican city.

Trish they also had retractable awnings to shelter the entire stadium which is still replicated till today.There were also aqueducts under the stadiym so they could have staged battles with boats of men fighting again on the water to see who will be the victor.The Roman empire was so cruel and barbaric.You must google it a d read up about it very interesting.
