Caribbean Feeling 🏝 at Sommerøy and Senja welcomes us with sea eagles 🦅 and porpoises 🐳
Hello friends, welcome back to our channel! Today is going to be exciting as we visit the Caribbean on the island of Sommerøy and head to a breathtaking spot on Senja where we'll be observing porpoises. As a highlight, we'll also get another chance to witness the fascinating Northern Lights.
We started our day with the sight of mountains gently waking up under a light blanket of snow. After a restful night, we set off with eager anticipation to finally reach Senja - the island that evidently has something very special prepared for us. The enticing smell of freshly brewed coffee lured us to our first mission, which we embarked on with enthusiasm.
Today involved another long stretch as we aimed to at least reach Tromsø. It seemed like it was going to be a relatively unspectacular day, but that's just how it goes sometimes. Beyond Tromsø, we then stumbled upon a secluded spot, far away from the hustle of the road. Here, we could enjoy a quiet night.
And after a morning coffee, we faced a new challenge: navigating in muddy terrain. Surprisingly, we tackled the situation with humor and continued our journey, eventually leading us to the picturesque beaches of Sommerøy.
Arriving at Steinsvika Beach, we took the time to capture the beauty through filming and photography. The drone took to the sky, and suddenly, we felt like we were in the Caribbean - albeit a bit colder. But that was just the beginning.
On Senja, an island full of natural wonders, we found an idyllic spot with a fishing pier and toilet. Our fishing attempts were successful, albeit with small fish and an almost caught mackerel. But the best was yet to come - a curious sea eagle observed us, and suddenly porpoises swam by. The drone captured these enchanting moments, and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of nature.
As a reward for this exciting day, we were gifted with magical Northern Lights. Half-frozen but incredibly happy, we let ourselves be enchanted by the dancing lights in the sky. That concluded our day, packed with breathtaking landscapes and magical moments under the Northern Lights.
In the next video, we'll be watching sharks at breakfast, exploring the majestic island of Senja, discovering a sunken warship, and ending the day with a strange feeling in our stomachs. The next step takes us further towards the Lofoten.
