We were on the Caribbean July 1-8 of this year and had some different experiences than you did. We had priority boarding and were 3rd in line to book The Sanctuary. We had a cabana for an entire sea day and a couple loungers in the shade for the morning of the last day. The Sanctuary was hands down our favorite experience on the ship! IMO it's worth trying to book it but if it's sold out, then I totally agree that the Lotus Spa pool is a great alternative. In fact, that's literally the only pool we used while onboard. As for entertainment, the one comedian was awful. However, the comedy duo of Alfred and Seymour was the absolute best!! They were so good the 1st time that word spread and it was standing room only up and down all aisles for their second show. We also enjoyed the 2 musical production shows with Bravo being quite good! We also enjoyed catching Oliver Holland, what a treat he is. Sabatini's and Crown Grill were both amazing, but like you if I had to pick a winner I would also go with Sabatini's. My favorite drinks came from Crooners bar where I had some amazing Old Fashioneds ~ being from Wisconsin, that's saying a lot! We missed MUTS which was something I really wanted to do but none of the movies appealed to us, maybe next time. My husband and I were 1st time cruisers and loved it so much we already booked another on the new Sun Princess. Thank you for your content :)

Great vid with great shots of the Terrace Pool! She's the last Princess to have Skywalker's directly over the stern, what with Golden and Star Princess(es) having gone to P&O, and Grand Princess's having been removed. These venues are two great examples of Taking A Stern View of Cruising!

i have only been on 1 cruise in my life and it was the Caribbean Princes February 2022. I loved it. There were a few minor times at sea where I was a little bored and there were areas of the ship that I had a difficult time getting to to the point where I just decided to forget it and because of that I found myself on deck 5, 7 and 15 the majority of the time but I miss it I really liked being there I loved the crew want to go back but can't afford it

The Caribbean Princess is a no-go for us. I agree with your recommendations (except for Sabatini's which we did not go to). There are some nice areas on the ship. The Wheel House Bar was my favorite. Our waiter there was a blast. However the overall experience for us was seriously below expectations. After leaning against a wall in our cabin, I found that it was so dirty it was sticky. I spent an hour wiping down the walls so I wouldn't feel dirty if I brushed up against one. The rest of the room was, in a word, shabby. In the main dining room I actually had a waiter refuse a request for a minor substitution. I've cruised many times, so I know that this should not have been a big deal. And these were not isolated issues. I agree with the things you liked (although we didn't have a piano player), but the experience was such that we decided to not go on any more Princess cruises. Then, a few months later, my wife was invited to go with a few of her friends on a Regal Class ship, and she figured it would be worth it even if the ship was bad. However, she found the quality to be good; on par with other experiences we've had with Princess. So we don't know what to think. We may cruise them again, but as I said, the Caribbean Princess would not be on our list.

Refusing a simple request? Strange. Sorry to hear that about the cabin. We always clean our cabin walls etc the day we get on board (yes, I know we are crazy lol) with Clorox wipes and noticed the wipes were really dirty. We don't see that on other ships. I would try the new Sun and Star Princess and maybe some of the newer royal class, but I don't think the Caribbean Princess would be for us. I would sail on the Grand Princess because it's basically the same size ship with 600 fewer people on board. I appreciate you watching and your comment.

@@JaysonJudson That's a really good tip on the Clorox wipes! We will take some with us next time and give the room a wipe down. Also, I agree, we would probably be happier on the newer ships. I didn't think both the Sun and Star Princess ships were completed yet... I may have that wrong, though. Thanks for responding, and for the intriguing shorts you have been making lately!

The Caribbean Princess is the ship sailing to my "bucket list" of countries...and so we are booked with them for August 2024. We'll have stops in Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Wales. I'm hoping for the best with the ship. A bit worried now. Because it's a long cruise (14 days) and our bucket list cruise, we splurged a bit and booked a mini-suite. It's all about the destinations for me, so I'll hope the ship is at least sufficient. Definitely looking forward to our dinner at Sabatini's. We already have it booked for my birthday dinner!

FYI Effective 1 Jan 2024 Princess now charges $5 for room service, and $15 for Alfredo’s pizzeria and Ocean Now delivery 🤬

Its unfortunate and they are all included in Plus and Premium. They really try to push those packages. I think GiGi’s there is also a charge for Pizza. Slice will still be included but it’s not the same. Making it harder to just go a cruise with the nickel and diming. Thanks for watching and your comment

Hey watched the video again, thanks. I’m a platinum member & now skeptical about a 12 July cruise to Cornwall UK, Ireland, Iceland, & Scotland. I did it solely for the itinerary. Another couple posted a recent video and the ship looked aweful ! The ship appears as a floating barge. 😂 I don’t expect Sky or Regal princess standards but yikes! Totally agree on entertainment (B- grade) but just don’t want any stinky smells like I had on Zuirdam Holland America.

We are booked on the Caribbean Princess December 17-27. Our only past cruising experience was a 4-day Canada trip 5 years ago which was fun and memorable. We have a great balcony room on the Riviera Deck, but we’re wondering if it’s worth it to take the chance on bidding on a Club Class Mini Suite. Any thoughts are appreciated.

i cruised first time in early december on carribian princess. One review you mentioned to avoid i totally disagree with that is the entertainment im sure there are different entertainers each cruise, ours were great comedians had me laughing so hard tears came, also a special elvis inpersonator was on the ship and i went to both of his shows.the entertainment was the best thing on the cruise for us. In my opinion the buffet was not good selection was odd items more designed for curisers from ohter countries then the usa i barely recognized many of the items ( potatoe salad was like nothing i ever tasted horrible and they even had it with salmon in it ugy>) Steamers leisure dining option was cheaper then the others and the seafood came out on a tv tray filled it was great and alot of it. only other 2 negatives were the pools as you cannot get a lounger by the pool unless you get there in mmoreing and stake claim even though they say you cant they dont inforce that rule and the elevators work strangely as they often time zoom by while your waiting for them to stop.. I agree movies under the stars are great and rarely crowded i was their during football season and they showed monday night football.

At sky walkers? They are allowed during the day. I think it’s after 9 pm it becomes 18 plus and after 11 was 21 plus At least it was on our cruise. Thanks for watching.
