SAFP is one of the greatest athletes of all time, male or female. Re Paris, I will put nothing past her but, as always, it will not be easy. Just getting through the National Trials will be a challenge, given the depth of talent in Jamaica. But she has nothing left to prove and win, lose or draw, she is box office and I'm in awe of her achievements.

As far as Shelly is concerned, I think only injury can prevent her from representing Jamaica internationally this year. She must be saying: Ain't no mountain high enough. Ain't no valley low enough to keep me from being on the medal podium this year. Go Shelly go, go Shelly go! I will be cheering for you and the rest of the Jamaican team. You all make me proud to be a Jamaican.

Apart from the best and greatest female sprinter of all time FLO JO miss SAFP comes a very very respectable second place up to flo jo . As a young girl from the hills of snowdonia in wales UK flo Jo was my idol . I mean everything so man driven in sport and women rarely got a look in , I’m so glad that’s changed and women a storming the earth as men have had their was for far to long . I was a very talented athlete as a young girl but with no where to go no direction and no local clubs and I got punished during my athletics at school coz I was so bad in most of my other lessons . I was a very fast sprint hurdler , I wasn’t bad at the 100 metres and then I was amazing at very long distance . During the wales county sports , so all the best X country runners came to my school and during the girls X country we sent off in order to run with the eldest years to go first and i was last as I was a first year at secondary . I set off on my X country passed EVERY SINGLE other female along the way and most of the boys as some were still out to cross the line first out of everyone female who turned up to my school . As I crossed the line my horrible P.E school teacher at ( HARLECH SECONDARY SCHOOL ) in Gwynedd north wales , saw me cross the line first to the total amazement of the lady who was stood at the line with her results board writing all our names down , she pointed to my PE teacher with the board in hand and then pointed at me and said LOOOK!!! She had SHOCK all over her face that this tiny little girl got back in to school before any other girl knowing I was last to go out . My PE shook her head from side to side in total disappointment because it was and absolutely and totally dismissed me .. I was absolutely gutted . I knew there was another competition coming up for the 100metre hurdles in a small town called DOLGELLAU where I was actually born was soon upon us . I thought right if that bitch chooses me I’m gonna go along and not run . I got chose and dilibaratley didn’t run . I knew my PE really liked the hurdles 😂and thought foook you 😂… she should NEVER of being a PE teacher at school and missed a trick with me . If she’d of had what it took to harness my talent and send me in the right direction with plenty of encouragement I’d of done well .. after this I moved to England to find the school X country course through flat fields and a half mile not very steep hill which of course coming from wales where the hills are enormous I found this extremely easy and would be able to run the 2miles course in just over 10mins I was so so fast 💨 out of school I trained with a Welsh man who was also very fast and literally dragged my little body miles and miles daily and never told me I’d ran well , or that I was good , nothing never any feed back but I still enjoyed running with him . He’d check back every now and then to see me still behind him and I think he expected me to be long gone ,deff not in sight . He left the town and I never saw him again which was a shame . His name was Steff . What I did notice after his gruelling 8 mile runs over mountains , beaches , hills , the flat 😂 the next races I did I was even ridiculously fast and got picked to run for my county. Buy this time tho I was living in England and of course being welsh I couldn’t run . Wish I’d of kept my mouth shut 🤫 and just run but I didn’t think it would make a difference . Even know as a 50 yr old I still love sport esp women in sport and love to jog . I sound like I’m feeling sorry for myself but I’m really not . Although I do wish I’d of been a little later where their are now more opportunities to get involved in athletics groups even buy sending a video in it’s made the planet a smaller more open and contactable world ..I cannot wait for Paris and Wimbledon 😊 come on girls . I hope GB use the same ladies in the relay as what they did in the Europeans 2024 we might stand a chance of medaling higher than bronze for a change ✌🏽 ❤❤
