Caribe escondido | Kitesurfing in the hidden Caribbean | Perobas - RN - Brazil

É difícil imaginar que tem um lugar desses aqui no Brasil.
O velejo no nordeste brasileiro, de maneira geral, é com aguas mais escuras. Em Perobas, ao chegar na beira da praia, a cor da agua é bem marrom. Mas não se engane, a aproximadamente 4km da costa tem um caribe escondido
Se velejar já nos coloca naturalmente em um estado alterado de consciência, imagina num lugar desses e, ainda mais, junto com teu pai com tua família, é uma experiencia surreal, e o melhor, ao lado de casa e sem precisar gastar uma grana com viagem internacional.
Dá pra ir tranquilo sem apoio (se tiver com amigos, e o equipo em dia e com celular , né pq é 4 km da costa). Estaciona ali na beira da praia, tem vários restaurantes, sai da frente do restaurante do vozinho. Vai fazendo um upwind para garantir a orça até passar a direita do farol e depois vai fazendo um downwind até as regiões mais rasas, próximo as lanchas.
A medida que vai se aproximando, você já vsualiza os parrachos (corais) cada vez mais rasos e dá um medo de bater na prancha ou cair. Eu que fui com prancha de surf quase bati algumas vezes. É mais seguro ir de bidirecional, mas rola ir de prancha também tranquilo.
Para ir você precisa olhar a tábua das marés, depende da maré estar baixa para ver os corais, então tem que casar o horário da maré baixa com o vento. Aahhh, na saida lá da praia de Perobas e também na volta tem umas pedras, mas é de boa, só sair com cuidado que tem partes sem pedra também.

If sailing naturally puts us in an altered state of consciousness, imagine being in a place like this and, even more so, together with your father and your family, it is a surreal experience, and best of all, right next to home and without having to spend a lot of money on international trip.
You can go safely without support (if you have friends, and your equipment is up to date and you have a cell phone, right, because it's 4 km from the coast). Park there on the edge of the beach, there are several restaurants, get out in front of Vozinho's restaurant. Make an upwind to guarantee the luff until passing to the right of the lighthouse and then make a downwind until the shallower regions, close to the boats.
As you get closer, you see the parrachos (corals) becoming increasingly shallow and you're afraid of hitting the board or falling. I went with a surfboard and almost crashed a few times. It's safer to go bidirectional, but going on a plank is just as easy.
To go you need to look at the tide table, it depends on the tide being low to see the corals, so you have to match the time of low tide with the wind. Aahhh, on the way out of Perobas beach and also on the way back there are some rocks, but it's good, just leave carefully as there are parts without rocks too.
