Stationed there from 1985 - 1989. Got married there and had a wonderful tour. I remember that area like it was yesterday. Beautiful place to call home.

summer fell on a thursday last year. I go to the registry in Caribou to renew my drivers license, I live 75 miles south in Island Falls. Its a nice drive Fort Kent is nice too. I retired up here from the rat race in Boston.

Stationed at Loring from 1981 to 1983. We returned to visit in Jun of 2021 after being gone 40 years. It was much prettier than I remembered. Was a fantastic visit. Thanks for the video.

Lived at Loring AFB from 1955 to 1961, we went to Caribou at least once a week. We had friends who were locals so I got to play in Caribou as a kid. Thanks so much for the update, must admit that it looks exactly the same as my memories, especially in Winter. We were originally from San Diego, California and moved back there in 1961, when I was 12. Absolutely wonderful memories of Caribou, the local people were just wonderful to my whole family.

Caribou is nice but if you're looking for a similar town that has more local amenities, then Presque Isle would be a better choice. It's less than 15 mins south of Caribou but has our regional Walmart and more places to shop and eat. We actually live in Madawaska, which is right on the Canadian border, about 50 mins north of Caribou along Rte1. Check it out on google maps!

Thanks! I was hoping to get some videos of the same areas in Spring and Summer so people would see how beautiful all the seasons are up here, but we've been so busy with family happenings! Hopefully I'll get some this fall!

Thanks for a fun ride right after snow. I grew up in Winthrop until age 14 - 10 miles west of Augusta and 20 miles north of Lewiston. Learned how to shovel and drive well in snow! Hated to move to CT and relearn how to speak English🤔
