yeah that's when we actually had snow on to our South we don't have anything like that anymore I recorded their back in the early 80s it's quite expensive for the its time it was quite an experience

This is the actual ranch that was owned by JWG. The barn is on the lower left side of the frame. Chicago VI, VII, VIII, X and XI were recorded it that barn. There was a fire inside of the barn in the control room. Much water damage and damage to the walls and equipment. JWG never restored the control room for recording. The ranch was sold a few years ago. JWG still has some rights of usage of part of the land and owns a small section for his family's use. There is another part of the ranch land that was sold to Boulder County for use as Open Space.

@@judyborden569 Terry Kath's daughter made a movie/band-doc on her dad: The Terry Kath Experience. In it Michelle, her son and mom, Camelia (Terry's wife), went to the Ranch to see it and walk on the floor boards Terry and so many other music greats did, one last time. I'd put it around 2015-16 or so. It was locked up for good while they filmed. That place was music history and should have been preserved. I don't know why someone didn't buy it, keep the studio as is and rent out the Lodge and the cabins to guests. It would have taken money, hard work and passion to make it work, but if promoted, could have really been something.
