THANK YOU for keeping the book title and author's name in the upper right of your videos the entire time you're talking about them (AND for repeating the title at the end.) It seems like a small thing, but I get so annoyed having to go back in videos to the beginning of a review (especially when I'm just guessing and clicking until I find it). I really appreciate that you do those things.

From the moment I read the prologue of Divine Rivals I KNEW it would become a favorite of mine. I mean, mixing history, mythology, light fantasy, and slow-burn romance with no smut? COUNT ME IN! I read it in two days and haven’t stopped thinking about it since (and I read it a few weeks ago lol.)

Honestly. I started using it to track my progress when I started reading Harrow the Ninth (Having a marker of how far I was through it helped keep me motivated, and I finished it in two days, so, yay!) and it's much easier to use than Goodreads, imo. I also love how they make sure to keep everything spoiler-free, and add content/trigger warnings. Just like, things that should be standard practice, but they're just... so nice to have.

I am one of the people who hates One for my Enemy. It's not even just because of how it's written, I think the plot is a mess. I'm not a fan of Romeo and Juliet in its original format or in reproductions (film, books, whatever). I'm about halfway through and I cannot pay attention to it for longer than 20 minutes and each time I put it down I find myself saying, "This books is so stupid". I haven't read any other Olivie Blake so can't comment on her overall writing, just know I hate this book. And it's not often that I hate books.

@@caricanread Well, there's a fantasy series called The Cycle of the Red Moon by Spanish author José Antonio Cotrina (who writes adult fantasy and young adult fantasy) and it's amazing. The creativity and imagination of this man is astonishing. It's more like a horror fantasy, with magic and monsters. His work, whether is this series or other books, it's superb. I love his writing style and the worlds he's created. I don't know if the translations are good though, I'm Spanish and I didn't check the English translation. I know you know Spanish but I'm not sure if you're on the level of reading a whole series like that. But if you are, or you want to be, highly recommended. I also heard from a previous video od yours that even though you're focused mostly on fantasy (which I am too, it hooks me up way more than any other genre), you'd like to explore other things. Many years ago I read a series called "Tales of the Otori" by author Lian Hearn, set in a feudal Japan. She lived in Japan, has traveled many times there and knows Japanese. She studied their culture, language, traditions, etc. to write books and you can tell she's not just "bullshiting" wikipedia facts, lol. It's dramatic, romantic (not spicy, it's actually very elegant writing), and, I don't know, I liked it. I remember those books not changing my life but giving me a lot. I learned many things about Japanese culture through the plot and characters and I think they could be interesting to you as well. The lofe of the main character was always a mystery to me that I wanted to deep in. I kind of even fell in love with him a little. Lol. Don't judge me.

You should check out Rebecca Ross's other works, River Enchanted and it's sequel Fire Endless. It's the same cosy vibe + Scottish folklore!

My favourite books that I've read so far this year are Priory of the orange tree - Samantha Shannon, The Stolen Heir - Holly Black, Gallant - V. E Schwab, Divine Rivals - Rebecca Ross, Dark Rise - C. S. Pacat, Emily Wilde's Encyclopeadia of Faeries - Heather Fawcett The Isles of the Gods - Amie Kaufman, and Once Upon a Broken heart - Stephanie Garber. I'm also currently reading This is how you lose the time war but I'm pretty much just hating it😅

I am always so surprised by how different and oposite our tastes are lol all my favorite books you think are “meh” and i’ve read some books you really liked and I hated them. That’s to show that I really really love you as an youtuber because we like complete oposite books!!! So i’m not here for recs! Just like to hear you’re opinion regardless hahahahah

Just read The Bandit Queens and loved it. Yes the topics are hard, and they should be, but the author did such a great job making it easier to read with humor. Love these ladies! ❤ Thank you for the recommendation!

The incident that skyrocketed " This is how you lose the time war " was a viral tweet by Dickolas Nicholas of the Trigun fandom whose OTP is Vashwood. ( Vash x Nicholas D. Wolfwood ) Its a pretty funny incident within the fandom actually, I was in tears 😂
