This is the coolest band ever. They put SOO much work and effort to everything they do, on top of making one of the best metal albums I've ever heard. I love the TDTC

Wish we could get an instrumental of the album. Nothing against the vocals, they are great, it's just this is master musician level stuff here - would be great to be able to hear it without a screaming voice over it. I missed most of this due to the overpowering vocals in the mix.

Can someone explain to me how tab notation for harmonics work? I keep seeing stuff like like in this song for the sweep harmonic. What does the 3.2 mean? Looks like he's just sweeping the harmonic at the 3rd fret so why isn't it just ? Also, what's the point in including ghost notes in the tabs, like where he plays chords and then the same chord repeats in brackets i.e (4), it doesn't look like he's doing anything at this point?
@sopadeloro64606 жыл бұрын
hnjgman with enough gain,you can get harmonics around the 2nd fret and 3rd fret . 3.2 means you have to rest your finger a bit after the 3rd fret ( towards the bridge)
@hnjgman6 жыл бұрын
So its literally just splitting the frets up to have decimal places? I.e 3.2 means 0.2 past the 3rd fret? I've been learning Irreversible by ERRA and the tab includes a harmonic, so does this mean you should play the harmonic a bit before the 3rd fret (0.7 'frets' away from the 2nd fret/0.3 'frets' away from the 3rd fret)? Wasn't really aware that you could play harmonics between the frets, thanks for the help, guess I need to turn my gain up!

To answer the second question, the parentheses usually indicate that the notes are sustained over the measure.

Um, complaint. So on the 27th note of the 283rd bar, it clearly read that it was to be played as a ghost note and he actually played the note. I demand a redo.
