i think they sould put AGS transmission insted a regular automatic transmission in that 5 doors version. the body of 5 door jimny is more heavier than its 3 door little Brother and also regular automatic transmission is more heavier too i think it wolud be better to use AGS. to solve the weight ratio isue in 5 doors version cut the weight in transmission would be a brilliant Idea.

Watching from the Philippines. Moved to the Phils 5 yrs ago from the USA. When I moved here, I was on the fence of buying a 3 door version, however it was not practical for my family and I at the time. I’m glad I waited. Just last month, I pulled the trigger on a 2024 Suzuki Jimny 5 door AT variant for a whopping 1.9M Php ($34K USD). I love my Jimny. Definitely no regrets considering this is my 3rd vehicle here in the Phils now. However, I hate the price and the markup (aka “top up”) Suzuki Philippines dealerships are charging for the AT variants. It is what it is…

i don't know if 1.5 litre mild hybrid producing 105 hp is enough to move entire thing + being 4x4 my 2024 grand vitara had same layout with k15c engine and that thing barely moves. you really need to press the pedal just to overtake in flat road this thing shouldn't be put on any road condition except a flat asphalt road, not even a mild off road, if you not want to ended up as laughing stock.

it performs like a goat even with that engine due to it's solid built: ladder-frame chassis, solid front & rear axles, 4-wheel drive system with a low-range gear, and a bunch of electronics like hill-start assist, hill-descent control, ESP and electronic braking differential (front and rear)
