Carl Built Crap

I have owned 3 of carls amps over the past 25 years, and still have a Carl built x-force base box that's never been touched and still works great. From my personal experience with Carls work, this doesn't look like his work. Not the stuff I've owned any ways.

@@Metalhead396 here is the deal. These guys on here always trying to make a dime. Running other peoples work down to gain business. I know for a fact with years of experience that these are good amps. If there was a problem with that amp as long as it wasn’t user caused and sometimes if it were it would be repaired no problem. 100% fact. Taking it somewhere else no telling what is gonna get said. That’s just how shops are.

This is a farce. I own two Carl built base amps and have NEVER had a problem. The insides don't look like what's being shown. Somebody's trying to put put him out of business.

I've been looking at the circuit board on this Carl Built unit and it does, Indeed, look like shoddy workmanship but I've seen the circuit boards of other Carl Built amps from other YT vids and those circuit boards look NOTHING like this one. Carl's boards are always clean and neat. In other vids, no one ever talks about hot glue as an adhesive, stray solder balls, bad transistors or anything of the sort. I'm wondering who built this board. Was it someone else or was it Metalhead himself? I just spoke to Carl today and my 6 pill will arrive this Friday. I have two friends who both use HD400, have had them for a few years and have never had problems with them and based upon their recommendations, I purchased a HD600. Well see what shakes out. I'm going to put it in my truck come Monday morning.

Best thing for that amp would be to hot glue the lid to the rest of the amp and forget it.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. You just got a unit that shouldn't have been sold. I think in this business it's tricky. I don't know anything about amplifiers but i was looking into Wizard. Any suggestions?

I bought Danny's Chicago Built 123 boxes. Never had a problem since.

Doesn't look like Carls work at all. I would bet that some Golden Screwdriver or many was in there after it left Carls shop originally.

He was referring to the burnt resistor because its a tell tale sign of a blown pill which he pointed to after pointing at the resistor. You're not an intermediate. Your a amateur and a professional looser.

Look you idiot. I bought the box new from Carl and also had him modify it to a 2x12. Danny fixed my burnt pill and showed me the screwed up way it was built. So I sold it and bought his boxes and have been trouble free since then.
