My favourite techno DJs are two in names - The Legend Carl Cox himself and the ever young and energetic creative dude Enrico Sangiuliano, both their sounds are indeed something else and very otherworldly magical in my humble opinion. is it just me, or was it the camera angles, or the focus, but that crowd seemed dead to me. great remix of a stone cold classic as played by a dj god and what, we get a few half hearted woos belatedly, a load of hangers-on crowding the dj booth, lost in their own conversations, then all the phones come out for 'the drop'. the king deserves better. maybe i'm just getting old and it's been this way for decades or something...

I def know what you are saying.. i remember in the mid 90's when I guest djed a stack of times at the old church of techno in Nyc on 6th ave.. 😉😉.. people used to really go crazy, lots of heavy dancing/grinding, circle battling, on top of cages, couches, the voguers doing their thing on the side struting with their fans and pumps in their hands, it was def a scene that gave you butterflies... So I def know what you mean.. from your mouth to gods ears my friend. 😎😎

Happy days. Feels like more than one lifetime ago now though...👴

Energy Flash was the first rave record I ever bought,and as I recently got some new 1210’s I’ve been cleaning my records(about 1100 or so)and seem to have many of the early classics on R&S,I’d completely forgotten about them,as moved onto house/garage/D&B/breaks in the late 1990’s,early 2000’s,but boy have they stood the test of time!!! U could drop them in a set today and the young ‘uns would go crazy for it. True legends in the game🤓
