bought a DJ mag at the airport once, only cause Carl was on the cover of the mag, read his interview, said his first gig in Germany was poorly marketed and nobody showed up. The promoter gave him his 5k or whatever it was 30 yrs ago, Carl said no i cannot accept that money. you save it and market my next show properly, upon his return (one year later) it was a SOLD OUT CROWD. thats how kind he is
