Atlas helped me with moving to Australia when he said in his show 'everyone wants to wait to hear the coast is clear, someones got to be the first to jump and see, be that person'. Hes given me and im sure many others great life lessons. Love seeing the cobra and teddy together. Its made my day

To be fair CARL stuck with Usyk all the way through the Fury v Usyk saga. Carl exercised boxing logic and called out Fury's shortcomings for MONTHS on his channel , whilst the '' Lickers'' fawned around Fury. Only Duke McKenzie, PORKYS CORNER and FROCH picked USYK over Fury.

Nobody ever really says how much Teddy helped so many kids in boxing. He was like the father a lot of them didn't have. He cared deeply about people and he encouraged and supported everybody. The guy is a wonderful human being.

@ As much as Carl was very much in the thick of things as an active boxer, he’s definitely not much more than a casual as a fan. Numerous times I’ve seen videos where he’s been a little lost in the dialogue with some of the names that have been brought up and have gone over his head and I’m not even talking about guys from yesteryear like Armstrong. He’s one of those who has knowledge of elite boxers who make the headlines but beyond that there’s no depth.

The question was also prime Froch v Calzaghe. If Joe’s hands weren’t a problem…it would have been a beat down. Joe Calzaghe is top three boxers ever out of the UK.

Henry Armstrong, Jack Johnson, James J Braddock amongst a few. The forgotten greats. Those guys fought on the Sat and in Braddock’s case labouring on the Monday. Those fellas were genuinely hard as nails and 20 round fighters. Braddock fought 1 week on the Sat, Sun and Thursday all 3 15 round fights just so he could get his power on and buy food for his family. Crazy

Carl needs to learn to let people answer. I get he tries to keep it conversational but it’s hard to listen to when someone is answering a question and you butt in with other comments and questions before they’re finished the first one. Great interview and love the channel

Very surprised you didn’t know of the truly great Henry Armstrong Carl. This man held the featherweight,welterweight and lightweight titles all at the same time winning them all in the spell of ten months going on to make twenty welterweight defences and five defences in October 1938 alone.

George Plimpton’s book Shadow Box is a good read, he actually got in with Archie Moore, he wrote a lot of books of this type on different sports, Paper Lion about American Football is good if you’re interested in it.
