Na mesma época da inquisição, em outro lugar, era composta esta obra espetacular enaltecendo o amor, a transformação das estações e a alegria. Eu não tenho voz para ser uma cantora, mas ao ouvir esta interpretação, cada instrumento, cada vocal batia nas minhas cordas vocais propagando uma emoção que transbordou meus olhos em um mar de lágrimas de felicidade! Que bom que a Idade Média nos deixou este legado tão bem interpretado por Carl Orff!

There is a version by Orff for just pianos and percussion, if I remember... but the strings add beautiful color, so if you have them, why not use them?

If by 'terrible' you mean 'terrifying', I totally agree. There is no other piece of music that conveys such a sense of foreboding. Everything about this particular performance is perfect - the venue, the lighting, the commitment of the musicians/singers and the quality of the rendition. Hugely atmospheric! Thank you to all concerned.
