Such a powerful representation of the devastation of life and the inability of humanity being able to control it. This song is so powerful and amazing but the poem Carmina Burana written in the 13th century where this song comes from is even more powerful to read. The poem was originally written in Bavarian, but was discovered in 1803 where the piece was in Latin and Greek.

@user-gs9lc2si5y I think technically the genre would be Classical Music. It’s not an opera though because this song is part of a Cantata which is a musical composition. All the songs in the Cantata were based on the poem written back in the 13th century

To go through Hell, you have to face every form of cruelty dispensed onto you until your heart blacken with rage, vengeance, and hate Believe me, I've done it, and you don't want it Trust me
@lydiaparker17782 ай бұрын
@@SamuelBlack84In my own personal journey I have learned that walking through hell myself, seeing the worst in humanity, cruelty and misery I learned empathy as I have "walked in many shoes" so to speak. I feel kindness is forged in the flames of hell and being able to be their for another human and help them navigate a path that might be similar to one you navigated before . I have found that people who have lived charmed lives, those who seem to fall from heaven, graced with beauty, who are spoiled, or had a silver spoon in their mouth when their personality is being created, are usually the ones who are truly the most cruel and wretched. They have never tasted hardship so they know nothing of selflessness, altruism , empathy or kindness. I have also found to "hate" someone you have to have a nugget of passion for them inside. The worst feeling you can have for another is not hate, though indifference as you could care less if that person were to live out the day or perish in terror before the sun falls. I do empathize with how you feel, it is hard to stop the vicious cycle of cruelty, miserey and hell. Often instead of using the flames to emotionally make us stronger we are ravaged and scarred. It is never to late to let the fires burn you to ash and rise up into a beautiful Phoenix and begin a new journey. I hope you find solace in knowing the past has no bearing on the human you are and can become in the present or the future. Really begin to feel those physical and emotional scars as demonstrations of your adaptability, power, survival, instincts and resiliensy ( in objects it means for them to keep their shape in humans it means to stay intact, obviously if you are able to write so eloquentley about your feelings online a part of you is still intact). Begin to use the fire to your benifit, use the flames to forge humanity from within; diligence, magnificence, kindness, empathy, trust, values, freedom, open- mindedness, care, acceptance and love. Having those traits does not make one weak. As I've stated in my human experience humans that have those traits have been forged through, trial, tribulation, visciousness, madness and who have clawed their way up and out of hell!! ❤❤

What a masterpiece - not only is the music excellent, but it matches a lot of the teachings of the New Testament and the book of Ecclesiastes in the Old. Basically what is taught is that everything under the sun fades away, and that humanity on its own is tossed to and fro by fate and fortune. This is why we need Jesus Christ, our firm foundation. Praise God in Heaven, who saves me through faith and obedience to Jesus Christ our Lord ✝️

@@isaiahdeguzman4269 persevere it as dark because the lyrics speak of how random and tumultuous life and fate can be. You can be given a poor hand in the terms of poverty, or you can earn it all and still lose it in the blink of an eye. People so full of life, and potential, can just be snuffed out without rhyme or reason. I feel the song reflects the anger one can feel at the world because of this, from the Lyrics to the overall tone. Sorry for the essay.

The guy with wings - with all his skin blackened like he was dipped in fire - with a crest of flames over is head - chained by an enormous chain... that's "Melkor" from Tolkien's "Silmarillion", right? - right after he was defeated and brought to face the Gods' trial and punishment?...

For several decades you mean. Carl Orff composed Carmina Burana in 1935.

@@elgebarstar5275Technically “O Fortuna” from the Carmina Burana is from a 13th century poem of the same name. The poem is 200+ pages long but wasn’t actually discovered until the early 1800s. So technically this piece is 700 years old…. It’s crazy what Carl Off was able to do with this.

You hear the creaking of footsteps as the lights in the tavern around you dim, and darkness surrounds you until only the single glittering candle flame at your table illuminates you and your companions. GODDAMNIT WIZARD YOU DON'T GIVE THE DM IDEAS--!!
