He was not intimidated into being "de-nazified" by Judeo-Americans. Imagine the sort of courage that one man in occupied Germany had to take - exposing himself to attacks both open and surreptitious.

If by great man you mean someone with new ideas, then yes. But if you mean someone with great ideas, then no. But i can understand the effect of dysfunctional weimar republic on his thought. His ideas would be great if we didn't have thousands of years of history of monarchies and authoritarian states, and people not liking being ruled by kings and dictators for too long.
