Few things are as terrifying as father who refuses to give up, refuses to lose. Invoker is such a father where he causes countless apocalypses all in the name of love for his daughter just so she could live a little longer each time. He is a remarkable villain and antagonist but I can't hate him, with all his power he is just a father grieving.

The saddest part, is he ONCE knew the spell for immortaility, but purged it from his mind once he used it...................I wonder if the Grand Magus, or perhaps even the dark arts of the netherrealms grandmaster, pugna, could heal her. How much time did he TRULY have, it was no longer his life on the line..................

Didnt he learn immortality after his daughter died? One of the scenes showed like a wrinkled Invoker which suggests that he is old, and then he grabs a faerie fire and casts a spell and then he becomes young again.

@@valizawesome796 In dota 2 immortaility does not mean invincibility, casting spells still takes mana, getting punched still hurts, immortality in dota means age is not your foe, and sickness does not ail you. Poisens, magic, fire, and other such can still damage you, can still kill you. Thats what makes it so Ironic and so sad. Immortality is applied once, and never needed again, only certain maguses can directly heal the soul, someone like dazzle, Pugna (although very dark he can do it) and the call of the Legion commanders horn. Very rare healing spells are, even more rare are people willing to use them for others. That is the irony, Invoker knows THE most spells in dota 2 according to the lore, he is the Arsinal magus, but he does not know a healing spell, the one he did know, he purged it from his mind......................and so he once knew the spell for immortaility, but forgot it in favor of more combat oriented spells, or utility. That is what makes it so sad. Using magic takes energy from you, immortaility doesent replace the energy, it must be replaced, and that Fae fire killed everything around him..................a dark spell to restore mana for himself it seems, dark as pugna. I rewatched, it wasent even fae fire, it was grass he used magic on, and drained the life from it.

@@erinmoore1494 Oh really? The impression i got from the show was that he made himself immortal (un-aging) so that he could take revenge on Selemene. I still dont think a simple healing spell would help though, since the thing that killed his daughter was a spell from Selemene and not a normal illness. Which is also why he couldnt find a single thing that worked even after reading all those scrolls and books

@@valizawesome796 To say Pugna or Dazzles healing spell is simple is wrong, Dazzles magic is so powerful it can litterly deny death itself, and revive the dead (through ritual, deniying death he can do by himself). Pugnas magic is litteral spirit transference, he can take and give life force at will, and even convert lifeforce into mana, There is no doubt in my mind they could heal her, the problem is *curing* her, somthing very few could do, if she died dazzle reviving her might purge the effect, the only things that I know could purge such a sickness require...................darker dealings, such as terrorblade, Abbadon and his font of Avernus, the Legion commanders horn, and the grand magus, Rubick. The others could likly hold it off, but I am unsure about curing it.

@@erinmoore1494 I think dazzle could definitely prevent her from death, but i doubt Invoker would just allow Pugna to use his ultimate, there is likely to be a side effect using Pugna's magic. But dazzle wouldnt really get rid of her sickness it would just delay her death. The few that can heal her would probably want something steep in return. Making deals with terrorblade or Abbadon dont really seem smart. Also i dont think Rubick was born yet when Filomena died since it was centuries before DotA. Perhaps OmniKnight or Chen might be able to help? If i remember correctly, omniknight has an ability to purge debuffs so perhaps he might be able to purge Selemene's curse?
