She constantly sounds like she's reading the script, and her facial expressions don't really match with what she wants to express. She has improved since season 1 anyway, but she still has a long way to go as an actress to be covincing.

Love your edits! I didn't think much of Carla in the first season (also, she looked so different!) but I loved her storyline with Samuel in S2. Now that I have finished S3, I really feel for her. She was manipulative because she was raised by really manipulative parents. Samuel was the only one she ever had a true connection with, but that relationship came with its own set of issues. Carla and Samuel were two of my fave characters - Samuel got a tad annoying because he really seemed to attract trouble wherever he went.
