I enjoyed this series Carla. I completely agree with some of the things you said for example - how having a good clear out makes you feel better menatlly. I declutter a lot and it is an on going thing with me. This is because my parents were belivers in keeping things "just in case" - which we are all a bit guilty of I'm sure, they certainly were not hoarders but when they died and it fell to me to clear out thier house, I vowed I would not do that to my kids. Well done with your de clutter.

I really loved this series of decluttering! Congrats on all you achieved! I actually finally did the messy corner of my bedroom, finding things that still had tags on them, finding out I had way too many pairs of jeans and taking at least 25 pairs of shoes to the charity shop - because you motivated me to get going and just do it! Thanks! Now I need to keep going on some dresser drawers and bathroom cupboards. It does feel good - even if I'm the only one who knows there's a difference!

I think it’s very empowering for your mind to just throw stuff out, and also know your home is less cluttered and so is your head.

They say hoarder mentality but I believe its actually a behaviour our parents have given us because they lived through the war and anything and everything had a use. I grew up in the countryside and we did get snowed in so keeping stuff was important to an extent. That said I live in a city apartment and stuff is holding me back but i have my parents legacy ingrained in me!

Carla these have been brilliant not dull I have watched them all I am going to start because I suffer with depression & gradually my house is getting fuller & fuller I look at it but don't know were to start so I don't bother everything has just got too much for me so I asked my mum if she will come to my house on Monday to start the ball rolling I have to start somewhere don't they say tidy house tidy mind well I hope so thanks for these vlogs & don't think I'm alone in wanting you to carry on but hey ho I will wait till next time I might report back to you to let you know how things are going because I need & want a better life for my family & fur babies anyway thank you I have loved watching these x

Well done for seeing it through! I'm just the same, I hate getting rid of things 'in case I need them...' I did something similar to this a few years ago, I think it was something like 9 items a day and, like you, I missed a few days here and there although I didn't break mine down by area but just wherever I fancied doing on the day. I found myself getting rid of things perhaps I wouldn't have otherwise as I wanted to reach the target. I did feel good mentally afterwards as it felt great knowing things were out of the house. I might try it again (in the Spring). I googled and there is one for getting rid of 27 things over 9 days - I might try that next time, as hopefully it would be over with quicker!

I think you have done well as it's important to keep motivated. You could start your own motivational utube channel. I tend to choose a particular area to sort not so good at categories. Focus on how you feel after the sort out that I find sustains motivational vibes.
