Carlo di Florio - Oral History

Carlo di Florio is currently Global Advisory Leader at ACA Group where he has worked since September 2019. Prior to ACA Group, he was Chief Risk & Strategy and EVP of Shared Services at FINRA from July 2013 to September 2019. From January 2010 to July 2013, he served as Director of the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE) of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He was recruited by the SEC following the financial crisis and Madoff scandal to lead a comprehensive review and transformation of the national Exam Program. Prior to joining the SEC, di Florio was a principal at PwC for nearly thirteen years, from May 1997 to January 2010. He received his Master of International Law from Georgetown University Law Center, Doctor of Jurisprudence from Penn State Dickenson Law, and Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University.
