Lol This is so much fun. I like "guitar-like" instruments like this in classical contexts. Mahler 7 is another piece that uses a mandolin I think. It's so cute. Thank you.

Mandolin is more related to violin than it is related to guitar. One can think of the mandolin as a plucked violin since they have the same tuning.
