In Texas we actually do eat cactus; it's called nopales. It's really sticky at first when you cook it but ends up tasting kind of like green beans and is great in breakfast tacos with eggs, a little onion, tomato, and serrano chile. Or it's good in a salad with onion, cilantro, tomato, and queso fresco. Also the cactus have a sweet purple fruit called an opuntia growing on them that tastes like a pear. I grow the cactus in my yard but you gotta get kind of younger cactus paddles, the older big ones aren't very good to eat.

I enjoy watching your videos. The expressions on your husband's face when he's trying to explain this is Hilarious. I'm in stitches watching you. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to see more videos. You to are amazing
