So does it means the tracker drain the battery of the car?, if yes what's the use of the tracker. Please I need an answer because I just fixed my now.

We've not found the Tracker drains the battery, and ours can sit for a few weeks not being used. One of the notification is a low battery alert so if it did get low it would let you know.

Thank you for sharing! It might be worth considering a GPS tracker that is not plugged in to the OBD port. I'm just thinking a thief would find it straight away :)

Hi yep that’s a consideration. The advantage of having it in the OBD2 port is that because that is the way many security systems are overridden at least you get the notification when they’ve unplugged it. But if you want your tracker wired direct the basic model allows this.

Would you recommend hooking the tracker up to the van engine battery or leisure battery? My work van uses GPS trackers but can run the battery down if the vehicle has been driven for about 2 weeks

It probably depends on your use case / how much you drive / how often your stood still / if you have solar / VSR etc. It doesn't really matter other than its usually an easy job to isolate the whole of the Leisure battery circuits but still be able to drive the van, which may be disadvantage.

Hi, I believe so. If I remember correctly you can connect multiple “vehicles” to the same account which means you can select between multiple vehicles. However I have not changed it. But just to be sure I’d suggest dropping a quick question to CarLocks support team.

They are very simple to fit, so if you don't feel you could do it yourself any garage or Auto-Electrician could do it for you.

Can a cheap gps blocker block the signal

Unfortunately as it’s not something I can test without breaking the law I can’t be sure. However there is a potential risk for them to be blocked (as there is with any gps tracker) as gps is quite a weak signal. However as I mention in the video these devices go someway to mitigate that by giving a critical alert to you if either the GPS signal or the Mobile signal is lost. That way at least you know that some one is attempting to jam the device.
