2023 is the best year for sneakerheads to collect but not to resell. Just know when to buy, make sure you really like the shoes, and you will be rocking 'em.

base on my exp dito sa UK, you just have to wait sa BLACK FRIDAY SALE, kasi sobrang daming choices and laki ng discount ng mga shoes. I bought LeBron 20 (uninterrupted model) for £132 and sale na un that time, but nung dumating ung BFS it was £90 na lng, sayang din akala ko kasi rare item. so lesson learned...

Carlo Ople you just realized that sneaker prices does not hold up their value after 5 years of being an influencer? I hope kids today will know this lesson and focus on making wise decision with their money. Unlike the teens of today all centered in consumerism all thanks to the influencers of today.

it happens most of the time not just in Sneakers boss Carlo also in Appliance and Furnite stores HAHA, I worked in a retail Company for more than 6years and most of the items there were jack up price,the retail price was EX: 15,999 but what they are going to do make it more attractive for the customer is they will put some Discount tags on it(20%) but the sad reality is pinapatungan lang nila ng 20% ung retail price para mag mukhang makaka discount lahat ng mamimili! panalo pa din ung STORE, masakit na katotohanan lang talaga niloloko nila ung TAO P19,999 (JACK UP PRICE) DIscount 20% P15,999 ( RETAIL PRICE)

I'll agree with sir carlo's logic. Unless the shoe is a limited edition like jordan 4 manila, eguls talaga sa shoe skimming kung collector ka lang and not focused on buy n sell. Abangan gaming din kasi sa skimming.

For Adidas, a new release priced at $130 - $150 average. Then just 2 mos later, goes down to $84 - $90s, just like that. Case in point, The Kobe Top 10 2000. The only Adidas model price unmoved since initial release and possibly will never (maybe just slightly at off/on in the future, but will be seldom), is the recently released Superstar XLG (extra thick sole - twice the OG actually). Superstar & Samba are their bestsellers all year long, so they keep the price the same due to the constant demand. Nike & Jordans are the same but made complexed and skewed as far as availability at retail & resell prices due to the Sheakerheads Trade World. Thanks for posting & sharing ur adventures! Take care.

Skimming works! 1 Case and point for me: I pulled the trigger on buying E5’s for wife and I, below $50/pair. (Most comfortable boosts ever made, just sayin…better than Ye’s) Same colorways today swimming over $100 pair, with sale prices. If they drop down in 2024, bettn I’ll be getting more pairs to daily!

I got priced out of the sneaker scene. I have about 20 pairs of Jordans mostly 11, 3 and 1’s. After the prices went up to $225 per shoe I stopped buying them. I am not sure how people can afford the shoes especially ones costing $1,000. We earn in the top 5% in the U.S. and we think prices are too high. I guess most people buying the shoes and cars out there have more money to burn.

Its part of the business. Owner trying to recover the loss because of either they had too many supplies or slow moving items. Other customer will be happy welcoming this strategies but I do feel you. Just imagine buying a shoes in a store and returning the next day and you will find your shoes selling for 70% discount.

That's the reason why i don't buy NEWLY released 'Hype' shoes or i don't really buy hype sneakers. It goes with other products not only with sneakers, i see it as a NOVELTY lang.

kaya sinunod ko po advice niyo noon in terms cof buying shoes eh waiting game po sabi niyo at hintayin muna before pulling the trigger kasi bababa yung presyo eventually haha minsan kasi atat din ako thinking baka maubusan ako kaya minsan lugi koag biglang baba na yung presyo sayang pera😅 habang tumatagal tlga makakabisado mo yung galawan ng mga pricing ng shoes minsan parang overpriced kasi ibabagsak din nila sa real value balik puhunan price haha

Sir Carlo longer and more frequent vlogs. Sayang walang bigger bottle ng perfume. I think it the price thing only goes with shoes that are not rare or readily available in Nike or affidavit stores. It may not apply to higher end shoes.

Ganun talaga. The hype is slowing down, except for the Uber hype release. This is good for those who buy shoes for the fun of it. To avoid trigger buying here, I wait for it to go on sale from my favourite sneaker shop after a couple of months and of course, you have the regular sale they have during black Friday, cyber Monday, spring sale, and other sales throughout the year.

I think yung converted price difference between Pinas and EU comes down to exchange rate. I first started shopping for sneakers in EU nung 2015, nung malakas pa ang PHP (something like PHP 46 = EUR 1), and mas mura sa EU ang sneakers. Even more so as a tourist if you can get a tax refund before departure (usually another 10% off). And I’ve never been to Spain, pero as far as I know, anywher in EU (yung EUR ang currency), tax included na lahat ng price. It breaks even at around PHP 50 = EUR 1. Example: ang Jordan 3 na EUR 210 and PHP 10,500. At PHP 50 = EUR 1, patas yan. At the 2015 exchange rate of PHP 46 to EUR 1, PHP 9,660 lang yan. At the current exchange rate of PHP 60 to EUR 1, 12,600. Ayun, lugi na. The last several years mahina ang PHP, so ang lamang na lang ng EU is usually, mas mabilis and mas malaki mag-discount doon. In fact at some small botiques, makaka-tiyempo ka ng sneakers na on the day of its release, may discount na agad.

I have to add na it also depends on the brand. Yung above example is mainly for Adidas and Nike/Jordan. I don’t remember PHP prices of New Balance, pero between US and EU, malaki mahal sa EU, even considering na in some states walang sales tax sa US. Asics/Onitsuka I think are also generally more expensive in EU than PH.

I wouldn't be too worried about prices coming down hard after pulling the trigger on retails. You bought them cause you needed them. Unless you know, you bought them cause you just want to buy... Different story

It’s not worth buying and collecting more than you could wear, sneakers seldom last in tip top shape even if it’s just in the box and never been worn. I’m not a collector but it happened with my northface sneakers, onitsuka tiger, adidas nmd etc. the sole detaches from the shoe itself and other related things

That's the risk of being a Sneakerhead. If you love sneakers and you really are a fan of it, u will always find yourself buying one if you happen to like one along the way. The contentment and happiness u receive in return when you get a new pair that you really like, is priceless! that is IF you REALLY love sneakers. Just my 2 cents💯👌🏼

Some sneakers over time grow high in their value though. Like Nike SB Dunks. I picked up a pair of Nike SB Dunk Low Melbournes/Goldrails in a store called Greyone Social in Greenbelt back in 2009 for 6,100 pesos and now they are worth 1,200 Dollars at Flight Club or on ebay. I already sold for around 700 dollars when i was in the US because it was a little beat up so a wished a hadn't worn it at all. LOL. Some sneakers just grow high in value but you gotta find out what they are. They become grails.
