@SkySushii 12 күн бұрын
@@FATCAPObviously each player is unique and we saw how the Federer comparisons affected Dimitrov at times, but as fans we can't help a little fun. For me, I saw Alcaraz as the new Nadal for his passionate never-say-die personality and sheer speed on the court. (But really he has elements of all of the Big 3's tennis) Sinner was most Federer-like due to his calm demeanor and much improved serve (completely different play styles though, which is closer to Djokovic) And for a while Rune kinda filled the Djokovic role as the guy who arrived after the other two, good backhand and return, not afraid to work up the crowd... Hope he re-finds the form he started showing end of 2022 and through 2023

I would describe Carlos Alcaraz as a poetic player. Very graceful, technical almost like a dance but a sort of style that is classic like ballet. i see the delicate but i also feel the power and the strength. He is certainly an all-rounder, a complete player as they say, and I have a feeling he will outlast most of the youngins around his age. Vamos Carlitos!

He is playing incredible when the score is favourable, but when the match get tense, as for closing the first set he start to make a lot of errors, that of course you cant see in highlights. Thought Alcaraz recovered well today. He seemed to be overthinking a bit--like when he played Tiafoe at Wimbledon 2024--and definitely was a bit rattled by the (unfair imho) time warning from the umpire. It's a super hot day in Melbourne.☀🥵 Let them use the towels, for pity's sake!... As always, Carlitos showed true class at the end, with his applause and message of encouragement for Jack Draper.👏... Looking forward to seeing that kangaroo tattoo!🦘😉 Hopefully this year 2025!🤞😀

Pity for Draper although not entirely surprising after three tough five setters. Hopefully he can improve his physical conditioning further.

Draper quits yet again when he’s losing! He’s got a reputation for being a quitter. 11 retirements in 3 years. Pathetic

Eh? He had a hip injury during the off season and that's what's bothering him here. But congrats on being the only nasty commenter in this thread that I've seen so far. Everyone else just admiring both players.

Last year he threw up immediately after a match. Against Sinner in the US Open he was continually throwing up and yet finished the match. He came in to this tournament with an injury and no match practice and battled 15 hours to win 3 5 setters in a row. Does he have fitness problems? Yes. Does he have problems with heat? Yes. Is he a quitter? Not even close.

No, he retired because he was injured. Didn't you see he couldn't run in the second set? I'm not even a Draper fan, but that was stupid comment.

Draper's body breaks every 3 tournaments or after every 3 5-set battle. Huge talent but fragile body.
