The difference in this match is Machac is not afraid to take a gamble, he just strikes the ball wherever he wants to put the ball and Alcaraz can't guess where the ball is going. That's the key to beating Alcaraz, don't give him the chance to get to the ball by hitting slow or short.

Exactly right! The guy can hit hard. He has power on both FH and BH. So when he’s aggressive and doesn’t make a lot of errors it’s hard to beat him.

Alcaraz didn't play his best, but what a game from Machac.

What else could Alcaraz have done? It’s not like he made too many errors. Machac hit harder than him and forced him to make errors. Near the end of the match I saw on the screen they showed average forehand speed Machac 132kmh vs Alcaraz 115kmh. That 17 kmh difference. They didn’t show the backhand speed but a lot of times when Machac hit BH winners the speed was above 150 kmh, that is close to 100 miles per hour.

Porq pierde un partido bobo . Gano todo este año y sin jugar su mejor tenis . El checo le ganó a djocovick este año . No hay q ser tan exitiwta . Alcaraz play great too good serving but in the crucial break point didn’t capitalize, that’s what happen when static’s give the advantage to the top player, never underestimate any player specially ATP top 30

Alcaraz è un fortissimo tennista, ha grandi capacità, però non ha la continuità d Sinner, che è molto più concreto rispetto allo spagnolo, è vero che Alcaraz lo ha battuto in finale a Pechino, ma ai fini della classifica atp non vuol dire nulla..per essere numero uno al mondo ci vuole continuità..e Sinner né è una dimostrazione, comunque ciò non toglie che Alcaraz rimane un forte tennista...

Contro questo Machac sarebbe stata dura per chiunque penso...anche per Sinner. Ha giocato ad un livello pazzesco ma difficile da mantenere. Vedremo.
