Carlos Bunga. The making of Habitar el color [Inhabiting Color]. Bombas Gens, 2023

"Performar la naturaleza" es la primera gran exposición antológica del artista Carlos Bunga (Oporto, Portugal, 1976) en España que brinda la oportunidad de adentrarse en la compleja y poética obra del autor.
La exposición reflexiona sobre las temporalidades de la naturaleza, sus refugios y sus cualidades vivas y orgánicas, por medio de una selección de obras representativas del autor que van desde los inicios de su carrera hasta la actualidad, y que incluirá dibujo, pintura, collage, vídeo, performance y escultura - algunas de las cuales nunca han sido expuestas anteriormente.
Esta muestra cuenta, además, con obras especialmente producidas para la exposición, así como con una pieza monumental site-specific igualmente planteada para la ocasión: "Habitar el color". En ella, Bunga entiende al espectador como un elemento más de la instalación: su experiencia integra la obra misma y la transforma.

"Performing Nature" is the first major anthological exhibition of the artist Carlos Bunga (Porto, Portugal, 1976) in Spain, offering the opportunity to delve into the complex and poetic work of the author.
The exhibition reflects on the temporalities of nature, its shelters and its living and organic qualities, through a selection of representative works by the author ranging from the beginnings of his career to the present day, and including drawing, painting, collage, video, performance and sculpture - some of which have never been exhibited before.
The show also features works specially produced for the exhibition, as well as a monumental site-specific piece also created for the occasion: "Inhabiting color". In this artwork, Bunga understands the spectator as another element of the installation: his experience integrates the work itself and transforms it.
