As a practicing doctor, I questioned him from the beginning. He locks a child in a garage alone at night (as a parent and a doctor, it's unethical). Also, infections happen quickly, and to make her sit all night (or attempt to make her sit) out is stupid. The poor child would have died of infection, hypothermia, or something else. He was more of a danger than Kenny was to the group.

GroatMan not at the same time there’s a few years difference. Clem was 9 when Kenny lost duck and katjaa. In season 2, clem is around 11-12. So kenny has had a few years to learn how to cope with that loss. Sarita obviously helped him get through that and when she died he didn’t know how to cope with it at first, she was his ‘last hope’ at a somewhat ‘normal life’

I have a feeling that Carlos wasn't a real doctor, but had some of the most knowledge of such a field within Carver's community. He was probably appointed the role because there were no available licensed doctors within the group. He might have just been a trained individual without much real world practice or application until the apocalypse. I wouldn't go into specifics while introducing our group. "Hey this is Carlos, he was a retired veteran that has more knowledge about first aid than the rest of our group because of his tour in Nam." I would probably say "This is Carlos, he's our doctor."

Carlos IS missing common sense with how he treated his own daughter, instead of at least easing her into the post apocalypse, he shut her in her room to avoid dealing with her and showing her how to survive without him. And the way Sarah talked to Clementine about wanting to learn about the gun, shows that she does want to learn and can learn about the world, as opposed to what actually happened; she was unprepared for the world and her Dad dying and she freaked out, and died.

I don't know if this might be any help, I actually had to check with my cousin who is in training to be a nurse. And I'm coming in late for this one. But all doctors do have the same training and study, even psychologists, before going into their chosen field. I never watched the show, just the games so faking a medical license never came to mind. I do want to watch the show, before anyone tells me off. Just don't have the time right now. Personally, I theorizes that Carlos' field wouldn't have him dealing with injuries like the bite or Kenny's eye. So maybe not one of the surgeon fields, but maybe not enough hints to point at what field he is in. Hell, he could be a dentist for all we know.

Deadshot Biggest plot hole: how did Kenny survive season 1? Other than that, Telltale doesn't like to say things bluntly and leave a lot of facts to interpretation. Instead of Lee explaining clearly that he killed a politician because he caught his wife cheating on him with the guy, bits and pieces of the story are told throughout the game depending on your choices. It gives Lee character because instead of him saying "ye, I killed him", you get to see him express how guilty he felt for killing. A lot of Telltale's content is like this. Carlos is much more ambiguous than Lee though, being a supporting character and Gameover Ent elaborating on theories like this is what makes the game interesting outside of your gameplay.

My theory was he knew the bite wasn't a walker but said he couldn't tell what caused the bite and suggest leaving Clementine in a shed overnight to see if she develops a fever, per the symptoms of a Walker bite. However due to blood loss, infection from the dog, and other factors, Clementine would have developed a fever regardless. thus mean they would have put a bullet in her either way! Carlos knew that it wasn't a Walker and was setting Clementine up to die. Bet to save on food or medicine because she would be one more mouth to feed and her having a fever would but her in the red to become a walker anyways.

The reason I questioned him was because he locked Clem into a shed for the night - with a bite that no one disinfected. A dog bite is dirty. They give antibiotics for that shit. You can't sew a wound up after three hours - but it's best to treat a dog bite with clean, wet bandages, because there is a higher chance of infection if you close the wound. But if Carlos is a doctor, he should know all of this. Locking a girl in a cold shed with an infected bite will kill her. You can't just clean and sew it up in the morning. And I know all these things just by being a general practitioner's assistant. I don't know what kind of certificate Carlos has, but it's probably as useless as his character in the series.

I think you're over thinking this. Telltale aren't that deep. Carlos is a doctor. The fact he doesn't come across as one is down to bad writing. Writers convenience. Clem is put in the shed so the gamer has something to do. The gamer has a place to escape from that would create tension. The same goes for the wind mill scene, Clem has to have something to do, a problem solving task like when Lee had to be the one to fix the radio in season 1. Carly wasn't retarded and neither was Carlos they just suffered from lazy writing.

If you remember our doctor from S.1 aka Katcha aka Kenny's dead wife, and compare her to Carlos you can see a big diffrence. There is some more things i would like to point out to: 1: Katcha helped everyone that needed help, wheter it was a bitten one or even an animal. She was a parent like Carlos, but Carlos diddent help. 2: Remeber when we found out that Carver was a part of their group? Why would Carlos kill an doctor insted of keeping him? Think about it.If you were in an Apocalypse you would want a doctor with you right? I mean they were expecting an Baby. 3: We never ACTUELLY see him help anyone in the group, except doing basic things like clean a wound. 4: If he was an actual doctor, why diddn't he teach his daughter/friends how to help people? Having played the game i found that Carlos was intelligent reasonable and logical. The scene where Kenny was almost beaten to death could likely have resulted in brain damage if not worse. The bite scene was of course effected by the circumstances and a paranoia of clementine touring into a walker leaving clementine in quarantine without medical attention seemed like a logical choose since medical supplies were scarce and using them on a stranger would be rather stupid (though compassionate)

Actually, a fairly even amount of speculation could be that he *knew* that Clementine was actually bitten by a dog. He could also tell that Clem has seen the outside world. He later on scolds you to stay away from his daughter, to continue the sheltering of Sarah. Sending the little girl with an open wound to a shed to would've ended with her getting infected anyway, because, again, it was an *open wound*. In other words, he was *betting* on Clem dying and subsequently turning, making it seem like it was the bite. All to keep you from influencing his daughter on what the outside world is like. If he really was faking being a doctor, I highly doubt Carver would've even kept him alive.

Also, if you listen to their convo down stairs like I did, and was trying to get caught by them (You can't btw). Carlos said that even if it wasn't a walker bite the possibility of her surviving without the bite being treated would kill her anyways. This may or may not be another reason why he may have not been a doctor, was that he was being way over protective and secretive around his daughter. I know you would want what is best for your child, and to keep them safe. But not to not actually explain what is happening in the world can easily kill her if she doesn't really know what's going on or know what to do. I know she may of have something wrong with her, but that doesn't mean you keep them away from problems or from the world. I know it may of taken some time, but I'm sure Sarah would of been fine and been able to cope. Though I say I'm surprised she was able to run away from all the zombies and not get bit.

When it comes to this subject, my theory is that, because the group had some trouble with Carver, Carlos, knowing that that wasn't a walker bite, LIED to his group about the bite to protect them, because he was afraid that Clementine was a lone young girl who needed help sent by Carver to trick them and backstab them somehow. (And also to protect his daughter.). When Clem wakes up on the dirt floor, they discuss that Clem could've been from Carver, but when she wakes up, they try to shut it up so that if Clem was infact sent by Carver that she wouldn't know that the group knew that she was sent by carver itself. We also hear the discussion in the kitchen by the group when we stealthy enter their house that Clem could've been from Carver.

Also in later episodes, Kenny's injured eye looks like he's able to see out of it when he said that "there is not much hope for the eye" but you can see that Kenny can open his eyes a bit and is almost looks like he's able to see through it.

From the introduction of Carlos in the game, I found his practices very unusual. He also seemed somewhat unethical in my own opinion. When Clem was in her moment of toil in which she had sufficient evidence of a canine bite, Carlos decided to subject her to the least desirable form of treatment, if one could even classify unnecessary quarantine for several hours, treatment. It doesn't take a medical degree to know that wounds left untreated, can develop sepsis requiring more supplies to treat than in the beginning. My theory is that Carlos may have had formal medical training, but he was genuinely an evil person. He wanted Clementine's wound to become infected, and for him trick his group into assuming she had been bitten by a walker. Once she would have a fever, he would send her away, or wait for her to die from septicemia and turn into a walker. Clem's escape probably surprised him, and ruined his plan to leave her overnight until she had a fever.

It would probably be hard for someone to do this but I kinda want to know what people would think if Kenny had killed himself over Ducks death and Katjaa survived. Katjaa had a pretty minor part in the story considering she was married to Kenny who is a huge part of the walking dead. She had such a small part that when Kenny thinks about his past he seems to talk about Sarita more than Katjaa. Anyway the character didn't show much capability through out season one but if she had decided that she needed to live on for her son instead of shoot herself she may have become something
