RIP to the great Thom Bell who created this masterpiece for the group New York City He passed today 12/22/2022

Anyone who has loved deeply and lost knows how it feels to have your heart ripped from your chest and smashed against a wall, broken into a million pieces. It takes a long time to fit all the pieces together again. This song is a survivors song and just makes you feel stronger. Cheers 🥂 to us who have survived and come out on the other side.

This music will take you higher. Absolutely magnificent edit of a class tune. Near 2 mins of a beautiful instrumental build to a crescendo of a harmony after the verse. Structurally sound. It moves up every gear it can with the guitar and solo and then; the smooth ooohhh's toward the end at 7.50 ; are other worldly ,symphonic, uplifting , floating on another plain of existence. a mantra to keep with you through the day. Imagine a choir doing that. It would make you shed a tear. The super side of unreal . Hands in the air

Like I tell everybody Clarence... The 1970's were a blessed decade from God. Heaven opened its shutters for a short time to let Jesus's glorious light of truth shine upon the earth. The Holy Spirit inspired all the true song writers and musicians for a time. God gave us orchestral harmonic orgasmic bliss of mankind's pinnacle of talent. You will never hear great music again made this way with FULL spectrum real instruments praising our Lord. Man has become too evil nowadays. I am so glad I was a child during the 1970's. The most happiness and sunshine I ever knew was during those years. Thank you Jesus.

I always liked this song. This is a “feel Good song”. I like the upbeat and the lyrics. There were so many songs out there singing and crying about their mates leaving them and just keep crying over that person Hence: The Chi Lites. Here, the girl walked out of this guy’s life and he was initially upset until he found another and he’s doing great and not thinking about the previous girl. This one of those feel good songs where it ended very well for the guy who lost his first love. The remix is out of this world!!! I downloaded it and listen to it in my car all the time. 😄😄😄🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
