Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Stage 18: Cold Hard Crash (100% Completed)

A pun on the phrase "Cold Hard Cash". The somewhat-corrupted mindset that money can do anything.
The last regular snow level of three (including Snow Go & Snow Biz), and the most irritating one that will take a bit longer to beat 100%.
I couldn't beat this game completely for a long time because I couldn't figure out how to get this level's crate Gem. But now I know, so watch as I show you how to completely complete this level in one sitting, for completion's sake!
Here are some things you need to know toward getting this done:
In the Bonus, there is a crate just offscreen from the top, right above the vertical pair of Bouncy Crates. Make sure you get to it from the top BC.
-- In other words, watch as I hit the highest crate at 1:19! That might just be the crate a lot of you have been missing! It sure was mine!
There's a Skull Route at about the middle of this level. If you plan to get both Gems in one go, get to the end of the Skull Route, and get the challenge Gem.
-- The downfall path carries Crash to the main 3rd section of this level. Don't open the Checkpoint crate there and just fall to your death back to the Checkpoint right next to the Skull Route platform.
-- This time go through the course again, breaking every crate you can. You'll have to backtrack at the end after you get the "!" Crate. It should release one more Crate onto the Skull Route.
-- Get that crate and then go back to the platform. It will carry you back down to the main path, and you can continue through the rest of the stage from there.
If you follow this, or just see what I do here, you can get the Crystal and BOTH Gems for this challenging level, and won't ever have to worry about it again for the rest of the game.

You have to reach it without dying.

You need to not die before reaching the platform. If you die before reaching it, you need to leave the level and go back in.
