@JohanniklasLp2 жыл бұрын
@@Che6t6nDe6th I don't know how exactly it works since I am not there during the streams, but sometimes Carl makes a prediction with two outcomes (Like "5 Softlocks before CP1" - it either happenes or it doesn't). You can bet coins on the outcome - Whoever bets on the winning outcome gets more coins, whoever bets on the losing outcome loses their coins. However, Carl does 3 types of predictions: 1. Purely based on his skill or luck, he either cannot or doesn't want to scam 2. Based on his skill or luck, but he can influence it if he feels like it (and thus pretty much scam the group that would have normally won out of their coins) (He tends to do this when there is way more bets on one outcome than the other) (He also tends to reinterpret some things a different way, like, after finishing a level, "Can I beat this level, start to finish, in one try?" and after the votes are in, asks "so which level are we playing?" - though sometimes the reinterpretion is him actually not knowing if something should count or not and maybe even questioning chat, which I, if it's genuine, count as "didn't intend to scam") 3. One of the outcomes is impossible (like the one in this case - since there is a winning condition, there won't be a CP1, so there won't be 5 softlocks before CP1), and the people who fall for it (get scammed) and choose the impossible outcome will obviously lose their coins (sometimes he does this unintentionally either because he doesn't know the layout of the level, or because he himself didn't think it through) People in Twitch Chat have named the act of him scamming "CarlScam" (or something like that, it's similar to how the words CarlBox, CarlLate (Larl),... were created)

Yoooo I love Final Fantasy Tactics! You mentioned it was scary, I definitely agree it had some good atmosphere but funnily enough the most scared I got playing it was after putting in tens of hours I stumbled upon a hidden mechanic. For some groundwork, each character had two stats amongst others that were fairly unique to the series - "brave" and "faith". Basically brave was for physical combat stuff, and faith was for magic. The numbers had impact not only on how good you were at that thing, but how good that thing was on you (for better or worse.) Example - high faith characters would both receive more healing from healing magic, but also more damage from damaging magic. Abilities could slowly shift these numbers over time so you could min/max your characters with them. Anyway, the hidden mechanic - if a character ends up with too little brave, or too high faith, they have a risk of deserting your party. Either because they're literally too scared to fight, or because they are too devout to be violent. Well for whatever reason, and I may be misremembering, the first time I ran into this mechanic a popup happened at a time I did not expect at all, and I vaguely remember it being not formatted like the rest of the information that would be shown during gameplay. I just remember it catching me so off-guard it legitimately scared the hell out of me. It's silly. I think it shows up in the post-battle sequence, which had a very nice and pleasing, consistent flow as it presented the battle report and did all its wishy wooshy animation stuff. It'd be like a popup stylized like the game Persona showing up in the end sequence of a Mario Maker level that said "You stomped too many goombas!" or something. It was really jarring. tl;dr final fantasy tactic good but weird scare

Tactics was so amazingly dark despite it's art style. the scenes of wounded knights breaking into rooms and leaving blood trails behind them as they drag themselves to safety while a massacre happen off screen were so well done. that game needs a true re-release, not the broken ones they have been releasing for mobile. (and while advanced was also lots of fun it was not the same at all)
