Somehow I feel nostalgic about a show I never watched. And like, IDK how this happened. But I slipped and fell hard into a creddie obsession. It's the slowburn crush-to-friends-to-lovers. It's the way they've patiently, quietly loved each other all these years without expectation or even realization at times. It's the fact that they are dorks together. Real "soulmate energy" there.

Like, I can kinda understand if people didn't catch the early signs of Carly's feelings and they feel like she didn't appreciate him enough as kids... but that's just such a narrow view of their friendship that misses the point of the slowburn. And then usually the same people will ship Seddie which was a train wreck waiting to happen... And look, i actually like Sam and thought she was a funny character who just went a bit too far with the violence-based humor sometimes. I even get the appeal of Seddie to an extent (the tough girl with emotional damage gets a nice guy to treat her right can be done nicely), but the fact is she was far too mean to Freddie and he was always going to love Carly because she was actually kind to him.

the more I look at clips of the OG series in comparison to the new stuff, the more I see how many characteristics of the show they really did keep. Freddie, especially, still has so many of the same mannerisms, and Carly too, to some extent.

Such a gorgeous video 😭💕 putting the scenes from the og series in black and white was an amazing idea bc you conveyed their long and rich history perfectly that way. the coloring is really pretty too, I love the emphasis on purple considering purple is basically the official iCarly color and Creddie's relationship IS the heart of iCarly imo. Not sure if that was intentional but it worked so well either way!! i loved this so much

THANK YOU!! And YES!!! The purple was VERY ntentional, and I'm glad it paid off because it felt a bit 2008... but I wanted it to have a bit of that original aesthetic with the purple (and I thought maybe orange was a prominent color too?).

What program did you use? And how did you get the clips?

I use Sony Vegas Pro 16. I found the old clips in KZbin compilations. And the newer ones, I just got the whole episodes.
