@@cyndisells3810 me too for 13 years and I was only 18 yrs old when it happened to me. I had just had a newborn baby that was premature only 2 pounds 6 oz. And I was a single mother as well. He had a wife and 2 children but kept that s secret for 9 years untill i finally figured it out and even after I had known about his wife he still convinced me to stay with him for another 6 years or so until I had to break things off with him once I knew the truth because I'm a Christian and I couldn't live with myself knowing that he had a wife, That took a huge huge toll on my entire life . And still to this day it affected my relationships and I was completely innocent I was just a baby I had no idea he was 17 years older than me by the way huge betrayal really broke my heart as devastating anyhow to women that have to go through such things as this I wish I could say there's light at the end of the time for me there hasn't been he was so good to me that's the crazy thing I haven't found somebody to be to treat me as well as he did but was great about it that he treated me great and respectfully or that he lied to me so either way it's a loss I'm 42 years old now still single and don't even know how to pursue a relationship with anyone

I love Ashley McBryde and Carly Pearce but Im on the fence with this song. Dont get me wrong, its a good song and I sing it every time. What I dont like is the idea of blaming yourself for something u didnt know. "I never wanted to hate myself" "I thought I knew who I was" "I feel stupid, I feel cheap." "I feel weak".............I get feeling used. I get never wanting to be that girl. But some ppl are just good liars. Sometimes there is just no way to know. You cant blame yourself. BUT, if and when you find out, and you continue to have dealings with this person, then I could see how this song would apply. nevertheless, a good song.
