I just wanted to say, that this was probably one of my most favorite videos. Great job at doing the video! Great job by both of you kids in the race cars! Great job by the crew members getting the cars prepared to race (loosing a motor stinks)! I'm sure it was a parts failure that cut your night short. And GREAT Job to your parents for giving you two, and us the opportunity to learn, grow, compete, and enjoy! I'm sure Mom and Dad was a bundle of nerves, yet so VERY proud! It's kinda funny because when I was her age I didn't give a damn about young drivers (probably because the little bastards were getting to race when I wasn't), but now that I'm older I love seeing young drivers make the step up and keep the sport going. I think the Oregon limited sprint "scene" has some good young drivers mixed with some very solid veterans to be learned from, so I hope it keeps going strong. Sure they aren't quite as cool as the 360s, but if the car counts can stay decent like they were in 2019 then it can continue being a great class.

Everyone has a first race. Practicing on the track by yourself is a different ball game from being in a full field. Some pointers from what I saw 1) steering wheel placement, I set mine for how the car rolls up at staging. Whatever placement it is to track the car straight, that is where I center my wheel. After that, i line it up using the hex in the bolt on the center of the steering box to line it up in the pit. 2) winged sprints are counter intuitive. If the car is tight, drive it in harder. If the car keeps snapping right in the rough, drive it in harder. If it's washing out, lean on something, a curb, your brother, whatever. You didn't have either option this night. 3) the more laps you make, the more comfortable you will be. This might seem obvious but that was night one and from my standpoint, it looks like you were overwhelmed. It happens to everyone their first time. Keep it up and keep the rubber down.

My brother was the Sprint car driver and he said Carly's hands are too low on the steering wheel during qualifying. They really should be up about 10 and 2 and wondering if she could use a slightly smaller steering wheel like maybe one inch shorter in diameter. Give it some thought.

I have learned more about racing watching your videos than i had for 40 years as a race fan. I was drawn to your channel from your race at I70 in Odessa Mo. That track has a long wonderful history in auto racing. I know you had some trouble there, but many great drivers had a hard time there also. Good Luck you two.
